I was pleasantly surprised. This hotel is part of the Evergreen shipping company, one of the reasons why good standards are maintained. We had booked their junior suite for 4 nights and we had booked it through best Western. The room was very spacious, well maintained and has a lot of wooden furniture which indeed adds a lot of character. The room did remind me of the bungalows in tea estates back in India. The hotel was very well maintained most of the staff were very friendly. Breakfast: was complementary. At first we didn't see an option while booking but then it was because it is complementary atleast while you are booking through best Western. The Breakfast was also very good and had a good spread. The hall is large enough and there are many staff available to help. Lunch and Dinner: are not open yet Location: is one of the greatest strength of this hotel, it is right outside Paris however 2 min walk from metro Station so that makes everything easy. Also there are many restaurants surrounding this hotel, a supermarket and a lot of shops in the parallel streets. House Keeping: The staff were able to keep everything neat and tidy however one strange thing that I noticed was that the toiletries like moisture etc were not being replaced once it gets over. Once you call they get it for you. The hotel the full set of toiletries. Another strange thing is about the water in the room that is provided is only 1 litre. Not good since most of the tap water smells of chlorine and some of us are allergic. It is a small thing but worth mentioning.

This Taiwanese Hotel Cut Out and Refused to Display China’s Flag During the Olympics I recently saw a video from a blogger showing something absolutely shocking about this hotel. As a Taiwanese-owned hotel, Evergreen Laurel Hotel in Paris deliberately did not display the Chinese national flag while hanging flags of many other countries during the Olympic Games. Even worse, the blogger revealed that the hotel cut out the Chinese flag from the set of flags they had purchased, and refused to explain why they wouldn’t display it. This is blatant disrespect and a clear political statement. A hotel in an international city like Paris should not engage in such divisive and discriminatory behavior! This shows a lack of respect for China and violates basic international hospitality standards, especially during a global event like the Olympics. If you respect equality and cultural diversity, I strongly advise you to avoid this hotel. No matter where you’re from, discriminatory actions like this should not be tolerated. Don’t let this hotel’s narrow-minded actions ruin the spirit of international unity in Paris!

Nice hotel with a horrible breakfast. Rooms are spacious, clean, well equiped, with comfortable bed and really great complementary toileteries. Staff was kind and helpful, and very fast to solve any issues. Breakfast was the only fault, a real disaster. No tea, there was a small jug for tea, but always empty, i also did find hot water, but no tea filters. I never expected to have to bring my own teabags in a four star hotel. Colleagues reported that the coffee was available, but simply terrible. The ham and sausage were all dried, looked like they have spent the whole night or even more on that plate. Mainly sweet stuff on the bakery side, only one single white baguette, don't bother searching for whole grain or any other healthy stuff. I will come again for the great rooms and good location, but i will be skipping the breakfast and look for some restaurant nearby.

Avoid this hotel if you can. We stayed there as a part of the tour group for 2 nights & then continued as a personal stay for 3 nights. The only good thing about the hotel is its location - 2 minute walk from Paris Line 3 metro station of Pont de Levellois - Becon. The room offered during the tour stay was standard & then we had booked “Superior Double room” for our personal stay. While checking in at the start of the stay during tour, the Indian receptionist Shashi was acting cheeky and said that we can continue in our standard room after tour “so that we don’t need to check-out”. I said repeatedly showing him our personal booking that the booking type is superior double room. He then continued on his rant giving an excuse that they’re fully booked and the charge will remain the same for giving standard room. I remained adamant and argued that as per booking confirmation I will require the room booked or I will pay the rate for the standard room if superior room not given. After remaining firm in front of other guests, he buckled in & wrote another room no. on the check-in page for us. He then kept €700 hold on credit card whereas the superior double room price for 3 nights was €552.78 incl. all taxes. The standard room was dirty, carpets stained & water blockage in the wash basin. Luckily we checked this right after getting the room & the hotel plumber fixed it. Then on the day of check out from standard room, the sane room drama happened with a 2nd staff member. I again remained firm as I was when checking-in on the first day. Told the staff we will return at 4pm to check-in into the correct room & kept our suitcases in the cloak room. More drama is in store. At 4pm while checking-in, I provide my last name & my passport as the person at the counter was a very old man with hearing aid. He was rude & not knowing English saying “he couldn’t find my last name in the system” even after typing my last name from my passport & checking their own reservation confirmation number from the booking confirmation email sent to me in September 2024!! I just said in a firm voice “are you sure you can’t find my nane” with other guests listening to the same repeated conversation. Immediately a younger guy Saif takes over who knows broken English and trying to repeat the same excuse of first using overbooking, then stating “they charge same price for all different type of rooms”, then changing the tune to “in our system all rooms are standard”. I again remained adamant and my wife now jumping in into the conversation. We said we don’t know what’s the logic but will need same room as per the booking and you’re the 4th staff who’s giving inconsistent information with all different excuses in the same single conversation. He then probably understood that there’s no point in selling the hotel’s excuse & provided superior double room which was in the other wing/side. The room was ok but it was different to standard & cleaner. I wouldn’t come back after all this cheeky drama typically being a Chinese hotel (even though owned by a Taiwanese company & not a mainland Chinese) but basically a Chinese money-grabbing tactic with no quality. Avoid this hotel inspite of its location as it’s not even a 2-star hotel. Filthy & dirty with their staff lying right under the nose on a confirmed booking made 9...

Rooms are okay and that's it.. It's our companies prefered Hotel for Business Trips, personally I would never come back. First of All, upon entering I found several Black hairs in the sink of the bathroom and on top of the bed...not very nice too Look at (I am not picky, but still it leaves a not of generelly not being clean). The Cover of my blanket Was ripped at the edges (20 cm) and they still left it on. The heat in the room is unbearable and nearly no oxygen. The only Option against that is the climatisation, which gave me only throat ache ( that however was to be expected, but I had no other choice during the night as I could not fall asleep)

I can say nothing for the breakfast as I didn't use it, however I asked if I could return my breakfast coupons as I left them untouched and in this case didn't want it to appear on my company bill. I was informed that this is not possible (So on the bill I have the breakfast included and I am loosing money for the travel expenses)

The light Was driving me crazy as well, 4 small lamps that need to be turned on one by one and turned off one by one if you want to sleep. It also took me 20 min to figure out what's going on with the different light and electricity Switches.

Additionally I left the "Please clean my room" sign Inside because I didn't want someone to enter with my stuff lying around and Company document and the bed. The fact that I didn't want my room to be cleaned Was ignored, as someone entered and made the bed (Just the bed I might add, and left the brocken blanket Cover in place. So it was not even switched)

I find it also very uncommon to demand the payment on the first Date, especially if the hotel has a Credit card for security...

Really...
