I stayed at the hotel over a weekend. I left my bag at the hotel because my room was not ready for an early check-in, returned after midnight on a Friday night. I was silently given a smoking room and no WiFi. Unimaginably horrible stench of tobacco in a closed hallway without any air vents or air conditioning, same in the room. When I brought it up with the Reception staff in the morning, I was told that it was my responsibility to state my preference at the check-in time and the Web site said so. I have to read the Web site before checking in, you see. I asked for a non-smoking room, I was told there was no one available. I asked to cancel the second night, I was told that I could leave but was still required to pay for the second night. I was able to fall asleep, after blocking the hallway door open with a chair from my room.
There was no WiFi network I could connect to in the room. I called the reception and was told that I needed to go down to the Reception to get a username and password. It was my responsibility to ask for it, you see. I got the ticket with the login credentials, tried to connect and WiFi was still not working. Got login credentials again, same result. The Internet became only available on Sunday morning, just before the check-out time.
Took a shower and the water was EVERYWHERE in the bathroom.
This hotel is an unspeakable piece of trash, staffed with brain-dead zombies who do not give a damn about anything. You can easily get a better service for the same price elsewhere. There are hotels across the...

Read moreGreat place to crash when you're travelling on a budget but hate hostels with strangers like I do! The hotel is very close to the central station (only 10 mins by foot) and the front desk staff was quite friendly and gave clear instructions (shoutout to the bearded young man with long hair!). Of course, this is no five star hotel but you get your money's worth: I got a single bedroom with my own bathroom for 34⬠per night, everything was clean and relatively modern. The bathroom door was able to shut only with a little bit of force. No shampoo, but a hair dryer and soap bottle! Light switches and a power outlet at the head end of the bed, very handy! My only point of critique is the mold growing at the bottom of the shower curtain, an easy fix that should've been made! The housekeeping staff seemed uncoordinated, on my first day they came by twice and forgot to take the used towels, so I was left with two sets. And on the second day they didn't show up once, a bit confusing but nothing of concern. The hotel is currently undergoing renovation, but they kept the drilling noise to a minimum!
NOTE: it's stated on the booking website that the deposit of 100⬠is to be paid by credit card in case of damages, but you can totally leave a...
