Marienhof Baumberge — Hotel in Nottuln

I just stayed here on business with a couple colleagues, for a couple nights.||||The rooms are clean, comfortable beds, and had great bathrooms. Basic, but good.||||The Restaurant- WOW!!! The hotel is owned by a nice couple, with the husband being a chef. We gave him the freedom to make up a nice meal using his own creativity, and it was a top 5 meal of my life. 7 courses of increadible tastes, matched with great wines. Nothing too complex - which I prefer to mixing too many flavours.||||Also - fantastic value on the meal. We have 5 people and I would have expected 100 Euro per person given the meal and amount of alcohol we consumed, but it was around 300 for 5 people! ||||Go, and take in a meal.||||I imagine their wedding business...

The hotel building is beautiful, a lovely country setting. The rooms are good, the bathroom is spacious but, unfortunately, there is nowhere to put anything down. Had to put my washbag on the floor, could not hang up my night clothes. No fridge in the room, just one bottle of water at 2.50 Euros. ||Breakfast is a good German style country breakfast. ||We were warned that the restaurant and even the reception would be closed on Sunday and it certainly was - no possibility to get a cup of coffee or tea or even a bottle of water. Unfortunately, the internet was also cut off, so we were not able to do our online checkins for the next day. There was also no wifi in any of our three rooms, even though they insisted that it...

Voor ons jaarlijks wandelweekend met vrienden dit jaar gekozen voor Münsterland en zodoende gekozen voor dit hotel.Het ligt vlak bij het historisch stadje Nottuln wat sowieso een bezoekje waard is.Het hotel ligt prachtig ,de kamers zijn netjes en zeer schoon.De eigenaar is vriendelijk maar ook een beetje bijzonder.We zijn er twee nachten geweest en de eerste avond er ook gegeten.Dit is echt een aanrader.Ik heb daar een schnitzel gegeten zoals ik hem nog nooit heb geproefd,heerlijk mals en en met een super krokant en lekkere korst.De wijnen en ook biertjes smaken voortreffelijk.Het ontbijt is uitgebreid met vele streekspecialiteiten.|Het hotel ligt midden in een wandelgebied en je kan dus meteen vanuit het hotel starten. |Op zaterdagavond was er een bruiloft.Hierover zijn we tijdens de boeking geïnformeerd dat er dus geen mogelijkheid om te dineren die avond.Op zich geen probleem en dus elders gedineerd.Maar wat wel jammer was dat we bij thuiskomst niet even meer een drankje konden bestellen omdat deze was gesloten i.v.m. de bruiloft in de ruimte naast het hotel.|Maar de volgende dag kregen we tijdens het uitchecken van de eigenaar per koppel een gratis fles wijn naar keuze,was...
