Lomeniz Hotel — Hotel in Municipality of Rhodes

Very nice hotel with attractive lounge bar and terrace area. Well kept and clean grounds. Pool area was nice with snack bar also. Rooms were a decent size and well appointed. Simple but clean and tidy. Nice views from balcony. Great staff. Very helpful and friendly. Lots of activities and excursions available. Hire cars too. Breakfast was a very good standard with good variety of hot and cold foods. Location was ok in a quiet residential area but a few restaurants / cafes and supermarkets a few minutes walk away. Zefiros beach was just across the road. A fair walk to the town centre - about 20-25 mins if you don’t mind a stroll. Or around 6-8 Euros for a taxi. Only negative was WiFi connection only available in lounge. Extra charge for access in rooms. Overall very satisfactory and great value hotel. Would recommend it if you prefer to be a little out of main...

The hotel is nicely located, close to the beach and in a quiet rezidential neighbourhood (aprox. 30 minutes walking from the Rhodes old town and the touristic areas). The rooms are quite big and clean. The service however could be better. When we arrived the receptionist was on the phone and she continued speaking on the phone for 5 min while she made us complete our registration forms through gestures. For wifi inside the rooms we had to pay ( 15 € per 7 days which is not cheap) only to find out after we paid that only one device could be connected to the internet at a time. So me and my friend had to switch regularly only to check our mails or whatsapp. This seems ridiculous to me in this day and age where most hotels and airbnbs offer free wifi. Also we should have been informed about this problem...

Lomeniz Hotel is located on the edge of Rhodes City. This has its advantages; quietness, a nearby sandy (!) beach with clear water, but also the disadvantage of having to walk 20 min to the Old Town or taking a taxi for €8 to there. There's also a bus, which you can take for €1.20, but it only comes once an hour. Furthermore, the hotel itself matches its three star rating perfectly. The staff is very friendly and helpful, they speak English well. The rooms are neat and have everything. Only downside is the size of the bathroom, which is small. Last, the breakfast is really complete, lots of choice. Unfortunately not much variety...
