We had a great stay here for one night while touring Iceland's Route One. You'll likely be greeted by one of the two dogs that live at the farm. The room was nice, plenty of space, two twin beds with a desk in the middle. The room had a sink and a mirror which was nice for brushing teeth before bed and not needing to go downstairs to the shared bathrooms. There were two shared bathrooms each had a toilet and shower. The breakfast the morning we departed was great. The hot tub was nice after doing some hiking, I'm sure it made the local beer picked up at the gas station taste better! Most guest houses in Iceland ask you to remove your shoes, that goes here so bring slippers or house shoes if you don't want to walk around...

They also gave us tips of what to do and where to go. |The cottage was absolutely amazing, close to Husafell (meeting point for glacier excursions) and to Hraunfossar Waterfall but at the same time with nothing surrounded. Kitchen perfectly equipped to make your own dinner and fresh and varied breakfast. Also there is a living room with TV, books and board games! Hot tub available in the front while enjoying the amazing view.|And for dog lovers... Smale! A beautiful and educated Border Collie (no allowed to get into the cottage) that is willing for cuddles if you fancy to!|Last but not least good...
Read moreThis was my favorite lodging on a recent trip to Iceland. The hot tub is well-protected from the wind so even on a gusty night with -6C air temperature, it was pleasant. The heated tile floors inside are great. We were the only guests in the building (winter), so our hosts messaged to ask what time we wanted breakfast. That was a nice touch.
