Guesthouse Tilraun — Hotel in Iceland

Everything was like new inside and very tastefully renovated to a high standard.||Has a full kitchen and a great coffee machine where it grinds your beans to steaming the milk.||Had full washer and dryer to use as well.||Nice quiet little charming town that seemed popular with the bird watches.||Huge TV with cable channels if needed.||Owners were terrific which only a mark down as needed to go to a near by shop and as them to ring them to check us in as we don't carry a phone that works overseas.||Also front door could not be locked as lock was not working correctly.||Only one bathroom with the only toilet and shower which could be a problem if fully booked with all 7...

In a tiny town right by the sea I dropped into the Tourist Informaion looking for accommodation. There was a place right next door. ||A one hundred year old, beautifully renovated place. ||I was alone in the accommodation and felt perfectly safe. ||It was cheap at 5500 ISK (it is really off season this time of year) and the apartment had a real coffee machine, dish washer, washing machine and dryer. It is a perfect place to stay for a couple of days. And Netflix too!||The owner Hulda is very friendly but with limited English. But she spoke enough for us to get by. ||I recommend this place if you decide to stop in this town for a night. It’s another 300 kilometres...

The Tilraun Guesthouse is a beautiful place to stay. They just recently renovated and it looks amazing. |It was very clean when I arrived. There's a lovely common space and kitchen at your disposal. As well as a very nice shared bathroom.||I would highly recommend this place to anyone passing through Blönduós. It's good for groups, as well as if you're travelling solo or with just two. |It's also located a 30 second stroll from the ocean. Which has a beautiful walk around the sea and then up river. |The people working were so lovely and answered all my questions about the area and what to do. It's definitely a place to just kick...
