Absolutely Horrible Experience - worst worst worst

If I could give zero rating, I would. This was, without a doubt, the worst place I’ve ever booked. The host was completely unresponsive. We had to call ‘N’ number of times just to get the room even after paying the advance, and when we finally DID NOT GET THE ROOM.

To start with- we wanted 3 rooms for 7 members in Coorg and it was last minute plan. So while scrolling Insta I found this Namma booking website and in watsapp they shared me multiple properties and I enquired so much and finalised one that is Bluebell Luxury Homestay. They said 1k per head without food and it should be 7k in total. I negotiated and got it for 6k for 3 rooms of 7ppl. I confirmed the booking in the evening and in mid night when I asked if room if booked they said yes and told me to pay 1k in advance. I immediately paid for amount

Next day at 12pm also I informed them I will reach in 1 hour. Here starts the GAME. However I reached by 5pm and in reception - Bluebell Luxury Homestay said no booking and after multiple calls and conversations to Namma booking they said they have 2 rooms and the other room will be given at 9.30pm. What should we do until 9.30 ???? Even the two rooms which thy gave did not have attach toilets it was common washroom.

They still don’t agree it’s their mistake, they say we will give room at 9.30 or cancel the booking. I asked to arrange some other property they said we need to pay extra. But why do they understand it’s their fault. Such unprofessional ppl. Pls don’t go this place without enquiring especially when ur with family. Finally I got a villa for better place.

Disappointed with the Experience – Not Recommended for Families

We recently stayed here as a group of 5 family couples with kids, and unfortunately, the overall experience left us quite disappointed.

While the homestay itself was decent, we faced multiple issues that made our stay uncomfortable:

Promised attached bathrooms were not provided in some rooms. When we raised this concern, it was completely ignored.

Many facilities listed (like games, etc.) were unavailable. We were told items like balls were missing or taken by someone — not what you expect from a listed amenity.

The room layout was misleading – it was basically two bedrooms within one unit, not separate as expected.

The swimming pool was dirty, very small, and poorly maintained.

We had booked breakfast, but only one item (poori) was served. Some of us don't eat that typically — there was no variety or alternative.

They don’t provide drinking water unless you explicitly ask — which is very odd for a place hosting families.

A kettle was kept in the room, but no glasses were given. Again, only available if you ask.

Most importantly, the staff behavior was extremely disappointing. When we tried to give feedback politely, the receptionist was rude, uninterested, and told us they “don’t care even if you write a bad review.” That wasn't even our intention initially — we just wanted to share our honest feedback.

⭐ The only good part of the stay was the cook (chechi) — she was warm, helpful, and genuinely caring.

Not Worth the Hype – Poor Service and Misleading Facilities

We stayed at this homestay as a group of 5 families with kids, and sadly, it didn’t meet our expectations at all.

🔸 While the place itself was okay, the issues started right from check-in. We were promised attached bathrooms for all rooms, but a few rooms didn’t have them. When we mentioned this, it was brushed off casually.

🔸 The listing mentioned games and other facilities, but nothing was available. When we inquired, they simply said things were missing or taken by others — no effort to make up for it.

🔸 Room setup was not as shown — instead of individual rooms, some were joined like a shared apartment, which was not ideal for families expecting privacy.

🔸 The swimming pool was small, not clean, and clearly not maintained.

🔸 Breakfast was basic — only one item (poori) was served, with no options. It didn’t suit everyone in the group.

🔸 Drinking water was not kept in the rooms and only given when specifically asked. Same with glasses for the kettle — kept empty unless requested.

🚫 But the most disappointing part was the staff behaviour. When we tried to give our feedback at checkout, the receptionist was rude, defensive, and dismissive. He even said it didn’t matter if we left a bad review — which we had no intention of doing until we were spoken to that way.
