Golf View Hotel, Nedumbassery||||First of all, let me take this opportunity to introduce myself as Minhaj Medar. I have been working in the Middle East in Saudi Arabia for more than 20 years. I have been living there along with my family. My children and most of my relatives are also settled there. I hail from Palakkad.||The reason for me to pen down this message is because I have resided may be more than twenty time at Golf View Hotel. Myself and my family are very impressed with the services and facilities rendered to us during our stay at Golf View. ||Our interraction during our stay at Golf View is with Mr.Manoj who is working at your sales & marketing wing. He ensures hundred percent satisfaction for us during our stay at Golf View. I usually contact him from Saudi arabia before we start from there inorder to arrange rooms for us. He is very prompt and disciline in dealing with us. The good service extended to us is one of the reasons we select Golf View from other hotels. Also while travelling back to Saudi Arabia during early hours in the morning, we usually check in overnight so that we catch the flight on time. We had been recommended to stay here. We made a mistake. I have been travelling for 50 years and never, ever had my picture taken at reception. I was too tired to complain but boy was I angry. Why? They photocopy your passports, so they have the record they need. Is it the Hotel California? Are we prisoners of our own delight?||||The answer to that was I failed to spot the delight; any vague delight in fact. Overstuffed pillows, a shower over a bath - please get rid of them - with a water flow impossible to balance to provide a constant warm shower, a toilet that jammed, and worst of all an air conditioning system, which continued to gurgle all night long, even though it was turned off. It felt as though I was sleeping in an aquarium. I expected to wake up with gills.||||On top of these issues the television didn't work and the wifi was broken - they claimed to be mending both but given, when we departed they were still inoperable, I will assume that was rubbish.||||Given this is an hotel next to the airport I take it the majority of guests stay one night. I'd stayed and chosen the hotel for transit to Munnar. Reached late night at Kochi from Mumbai with family and for overnight stay booked the hotel. It's quite nearby to airport. Best part they have complementary airport pickup so no hassle to looking for public transport. Found the hotel room near n clean. Not luxury but decent enough. Room service was good and prompt. Breakfast was not so great. As you travel (vegetarian) to South , sometime getting your appetite is a challenge. They had kept all my docs and reservations in tact while checkin and thus it was a smooth transition from reception to room. Good comfortable rooms with clean washrooms. The only challenge I'd faced (not with hotel) but with Ola. With Ola money they would not go. I'd pre booked the cab but first thing they asked about how to make payment; Ola money; the driver cancelled the booking. But then spoke to one of the cabbie and he agreed for the drop to Munnar but on private booking and not on Ola and cash payment. It was though...
