RedDoorz Premium near Grand Batam Mall — Hotel in Batam City

Sigh, what a shameless business operator. This is NOT 4-star, not anywhere near to deserve the use of premium. Not near to Grand Batam mall (not walkable), do quick google search and you will realize there is no suitable walking path to the mall.

This is a scam. Please do not be cheated by this place - level 2 units we requested for change of rooms, filled with aftermath heavy smoke smell, mold everywhere (look up from the walls), stinky toilet, smell from sink, water from pipes are yellowish with stench, air conditioner is not controllable and smells full of pollutants. Refer to the attached photos.

We felt ill from just one night coz we checked in a tad late and checked out immediately the next day, forfeiting 2 fully paid nights. Kindly note that NONE of the rooms has windows, very bad living condition and not recommended even for a night. Complete rundown.

Fyi, we did a quick search and realized that Reddoorz took over the Cardinal Lucky star (2-star hotel), zero maintenance left to waste. Their working level are people who smokes at the lobby and walkway even below the ‘no smoking’ sign. I hope the operator gets their just desserts, or at least stay in such conditions to...

I booked through agoda and arrived around 11pm, and they told me the hotel is closed even though some people are at the reception...

The booking on agoda was still active and I had to call agoda to take care of the situation, which took almost 2hours.

I have never had this kind of issue with agoda after hundreds of booking, so it’s clear that this whole mess is because of this hotel.

Terrible housekeeping. Stained linens and dirty carpet. Although the staff were friendly and helpful. It took ages for us to check in. The location of the hotel is not convenient. It gets noisy from the traffic and loud music from nearby pub can be heard from my room. There are rooms without windows too which make them dark and gloomy. ||||Breakfast is on the roof top, alfresco style, so it can get quite hot.
