The Sayan House Villas — Hotel in Pulau Bali

I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Sayan House Villas in Ubud, Bali from the 28th May to the 31st May, and it was an unforgettable experience. The villa, which featured two rooms, was the epitome of luxury and modern comfort.

From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the high-tech amenities in the rooms. Each room was equipped with everything you could possibly need, including a television with Netflix for those cozy nights in. The attention to detail in the design and functionality of the rooms was remarkable, making my stay both comfortable and enjoyable.

The service at The Sayan House Villas was exceptional. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of my stay was perfect. They were attentive, friendly, and always ready to assist with any requests. One of the standout features was the complimentary drinks, which added a special touch to the overall experience.

The villa's pool and the view from the house were breathtaking. We had the most beautiful, serene view that made our stay incredibly relaxing. It was so comfortable staying there, with the option to use the sauna in the outside area. Each room was equipped with a bathtub, shower, and a super high-tech toilet. The toilets were particularly impressive, as they would open automatically when you walked towards them and had various high-tech functions operated by buttons.

The price that we paid was totally worth it, and we would stay in this villa again and again on our next trip to Bali. The luxurious accommodations, coupled with the outstanding service, made it an excellent value. The entire experience was simply perfect, and I can't wait to return.

My partner I stayed at The Sayan House Villas for 4 nights during our time in Ubud. Upon arrival we were warmly greeted by Dewa and The Sayan House team who gave us a tour of the villa and made sure we were properly settled.

Let me just start by saying that the photos don’t do the place justice. There is so much attention to detail that has gone into the property from the decor, styling, lighting and amenities, everything felt high end, bespoke and well thought out. The view from the property was simply breathtaking, very unassuming as you approach from the main road. We could have easily spent the four days relaxing in the villa and making use of all the amenities. The complimentary breakfast was delicious and having it set up in the private garden was a great way to start our day.

The villa is connected to The Sayan House restaurant via a private gate. During the afternoon and evenings the restaurant had such an amazing buzz about it that added to the overall ambiance of our stay. For two of our nights Dewa took care of our dinner reservations at the restaurant and ensured we had the best seats in the house overlooking the valley. The food was incredible, definitely a favourite during our time in Bali. From the private entry, personalised hospitality, and the welcoming staff we felt nothing short of VIP’s staying here.

We found this magical villa while searching for accommodation near one of our favourite restaurants in Ubud - Sayan House. We were pleasantly surprised that it was now possible to stay in the neighbouring - Sayan House Villas.

Our experience, from the friendly welcome by Mr Dewa and his amazing team, until it was time to leave, cannot be compared to anything we have experienced in Bali, although we have visited a number of times.

The villa is exquisitely and functionally decorated with Scandinavian design classics in an exciting mix with the colonial style that permeates the entire Sayan House concept.

We also appreciated the fine collection of interesting books on Bali's history, architecture and gastronomy.

Unfortunately, we only had a couple of days at Sayan House Villas but were able to enjoy the unbeatable view of the Sayan Valley from our magical patio for breakfast and sunset. In the evening before we slipped through the villa's magical secret door for dinner at the Sayan House restaurant, we had a refreshing cold bath in the outdoor tub to cool off after a nice sauna.

On departure, we were humbly asked if we had any requests or tips for possible improvements to the villa or service, but it was simply impossible to think of anything negative or anything to improve.

We were treated royally throughout our stay and immediately made plans to return as we left paradise behind on our way through the maddening traffic chaos of Ubud towards the airport.
