We stayed 5 nights and overall liked a place. There have been some uncomfortable things which made our stay not a 5 star. Highlights The apartment is ideally located in the heart of Verona’s historic center, in a beautiful old building. All major sights are within a comfortable 5–10 minute walk, with plenty of restaurants and dining options nearby. The interior is tastefully styled in a traditional yet elegant way and thoughtfully renovated to ensure a comfortable stay. The rooms are spacious, and the bedroom is well separated from the entrance and living area, providing a sense of privacy. The bathroom and toilet are separate, which is particularly convenient. Reception is just a three-minute walk from the apartment, and communication was smooth throughout; the staff were prompt, kind, and easy to reach.
Lowlights Although the apartment faces a small street, it was surprisingly noisy. A nearby restaurant operates just below, with service starting early in the morning (around 6–7 a.m.), creating significant noise, and there was also noticeable street noise late at night. At times, it felt almost as if one were sitting outside rather than inside the apartment. The kitchen is clearly designed for light use only—such as preparing tea, coffee, or cold dishes—and is not really suitable for even a light cooking. A few basic items were missing, such as a teaspoon, a small bowl for yogurt, or a cutting board. While the overall design is very appealing, storage space was limited. The wardrobe in the bedroom is more decorative than functional, and the one in the living area was largely occupied by the apartment’s own items. For guests staying several days, especially those who prefer not to live out of a suitcase, adequate wardrobe space would...
Read moreThis place was quite spacious and located very close to the main piazza. However, there were issues which we brought up with the managing agent to absolutely no avail. They would only supply us with one set of keys, even though there is room to sleep five people. We explained that we weren't going to be going out together all the time but it was bad luck. There was a lock box available but they refused to give us the code so we had to co-ordinate going out, which was rubbish. We offered to buy a lock box but they said that wasn't allowed. So they ruled how our stay went basically. When we arrived everything was unplugged. When we started plugging things in, we found that certain sockets wouldn't work unless a light was turned on, or many switches didn't work at all. It was laughable. You also have to share the washing machine with quite a few other apartments. People would put on a load then go out for the day. The two showers were a complete fail. One didn't have enough pressure to rinse the soap off, whilst the other was a hand held over a bath that had heaps of pressure but it would bounce off surfaces and flood the floor, a lot. Also, the bath you had to stand in didn't drain so you had to stand in soapy, dirty water. It took at least an hour for the water to disappear. We mentioned it to the agent and they already knew about it. There was a laminated sign in the kitchen saying the dishwasher was 'temporarily' out of order. Why would you have a laminated sign for a temporary issue. Also told them one of the TV's wasn't working and they couldn't have cared less. This place needs a bit of attention and I wouldn't...
Read moreAbsolutely beautiful spacious apartment in the very center of Verona. Light and airy, lovely and cool as you walk in, everything you could possibly need for your stay in terms of facilities and equipment. Open plan spacious lounge and kitchen. Modern bathroom, a smart utility cupboard at the end of the hall with top quality washing machine and tumble dryer. Endless storage. Plenty of towels and bedding. Two lovely light bedrooms and a double sofa bed in the lounge. Everything is immaculately clean.
If you have a car there are two 24hr car parks within walking distance (10mins) and parking with a 2 hr limit at the end of the road. We only had a day in Verona as our main holiday had been at the lake but we managed Juliet’s balcony (two mins walk), a trip to the Amphitheater, some shopping (shopping is excellent), a wander around the beautiful squares and a lovely dinner out at a restaurant called Greppia in a small but very pretty corner, again just a few minutes walk (recommended by Marco, who met us at the apartment when we arrived). A really lovely stay, I cannot recommend the apartment enough and when I return to Verona (as there is so much more to see!), we will definitely be hoping to...
