京都街宿 四条烏丸 — Hotel in Kyoto

We discovered this hotel purely by random search and was surprisingly delighted during our stay. There're very few review but I think it's because of being newly opened in April. Will definitely come back again if we visit Kyoto.||||We travelled in a family of 4 (including 2 children)||||1)staff are super-friendly, speak English and helpful ||2)they just introduced breakfast few days before our arrival --very nice waffle served with tea/coffee; ||3)room is super clean - basically dustless and zero stain even at the corn of the room. ||4)the room contains 2 big single bed and 2 Tatami with soft and nice mattress. ||5)tea and coffee are very good.||6)5-10 mins walk from subway --not super close but the walk is very peaceful and nice. Some restaurants around. ||||The only little drawback is in the breakfast. There's no milk, no juice for kids but it's just the 3rd day they started this service so I'm sure they will...

Wayfarer Shin was an absolutely lovely hotel. Great space for the 2 of us. I’m a beautiful neighborhood.

The staff were all friendly and happy to help out. Very organized and easy to check in and out. The hotel was always clean. Having the amenities on our floor was so convenient for grabbing what we needed. Bed was comfortable but could use different pillows.

Location for us was awesome! We walk a lot so it was lovely to go through the local neighborhoods to get from point A to point B. Seeing the locals go about their daily lives. The local restaurants around us. It was personally my favourite part of Kyoto however, it was a distance to the main drag and some people might not appreciate the long walk to the bus or train station so keep this in mind. This hotel was an excellent choice for our stay in Kyoto. Located in a quiet area, it’s still very central, less than a 10-minute walk from several metro stations, which made it easy to get around the city.

The check-in and check-out process is mostly automated, which is super convenient and fast. Everything was clear and simple, and staff were available nearby in case of questions.

The service was excellent: the team was responsive, polite, and made sure everything went smoothly.

Our room was very comfortable, surprisingly spacious and the bathroom was big, clean, and well-equipped.
