B&B 宇凪院 / B&B Unagi inn — Hotel in Kyoto

This place just opened in Sept 2019. Undoubtedly everything in the facility is very new and spotlessly clean. They offer several different types of pillows that include both western and Japanese. Each floor is also equipped with water, hot water pot, coffee and tea so you don’t have to go down stairs to the kitchen. Free Amenity includes shampoo, conditioner, body soap and hair dryers. The shared dining room and kitchen are on the first floor. They have two small rice cookers. We did not use them but thought it was nice. The kitchen also comes with cooking stoves, cooking pots, oven toaster, microwaves and fridges—good for people who need a semi long stay. They provide an assortment of Japanese bread for breakfast that you can choose one from for free.

Conveniently located in the middle of Kyoto, right in front of the hostel is the city bus stop for both directions to and from Kyoto station (10 min ride each way). Kyoto city bus goes pretty much everywhere around Kyoto, and you can purchase a day bus for 600 yen from any bus driver. Regular bus fee is 230 yen per ride.

第一次到京都旅遊就非常幸運的住到這家Hostel，從一進門開始可以看到親切的職員們向客人打招呼，讓人有走進高級飯店的感覺，在京都的三天，職員們也都相當熱心介紹有名的景點以及貼心告知便利的交通方式，服務的部分可以說是相當滿意👍

우연히 인터넷에서 찾은 호스텔인데 상상보다 더좋은 퀄리티였어요. 제가 교토에 처음인데 직원분들도 완전 친절하시고 길도 잘 알려주셨어요. 직원분들 거의다 대만분이셔서 소통하려면 영어도 가능하고 직원분한테 천천히 말하는거 좋을것같아요!!! 방도 완전 깨끗하고 샤워룸도 잘되있어요. 호스텔앞에 대중교통도 편하고 50번 버스 타시면 교토역까지 갈수있어요!! 주변에 편의점도 엄청 많고요! 우나기 인 호스텔 강추!!!

It's my first time to visit Kyoto. And I was so lucky to book this hostel. It makes ppl feel like hotel and they also have a bar near their entrance which is quite unique for a hostel to have it. Highly recommend all the passengers should try their cocktails! The staff were so kind, they even told me where should I visit and how to get there which also surprised me how nice they are. And the room is also clean, they provided clean bed sheets and pillow covers, also they have a large kitchen which has plenty of tools for the ppl who wants to make sth by their own. Transportation is also convenient. There are few convenient stores around, and the bus 50 in front of the hostel can take u right away to the Kyoto station. Unagi inn hostel will be the first choice if u don't have enough budget to live in a hotel but u can also experience the service feels like a...

I stayed in Kyoto for 10 days and staying at Unagi inn made it really special. It has a very nice urban decor and has a very friendly and helpful staff . Thanks for the sake nights and day trips to places like Kinkaku-ji. Thanks to Mao, Kuumi and Daiki for the warm welcome and the good company.
