Extremely affordable rates: 2000yen for first night, 1800yen/ night subsequently for a single non-smoking room. No gimmicks, extra or any hidden charges. ||||Superb Location: 5min walk from Shin Imamiya station (Board the Nankai line from Kansai International Airport, all trains services whether is it Rapi:t or Express or Local will always stop at Shin Imamiya, making it a very convenient stop). Hotel is right next to Dobutsuen-Mae station on the red Midosuji line which has all the important stops: Namba, Umeda and Shin Osaka. Not to mention that Namba is only 2 stops away... You can even walk to Ebisucho and Nipponbashi easily if you want.||||Hotel staffs can't speak english well admittedly BUT understand what u want well.||||Small and clean room with no toilet, but there is a male+female toilet (not for showering/bathing) on each floor as well as 2 showering rooms and 2 public baths on the first floor, not a major issue I guess unless u need to use the washrooms or shower very frequently. ||||Noise level is fine apart from the occasional loud phone conversations in the corridors. ||||Decent Wifi (streamed HD Twitch videos all night without problem). Vending machine on first floor, 3min walk to Family Mart. 1 24hr Ramen restaurant on adjacent street.||||For 1800yen/night, I honestly can't find much to nitpick for and the hotel itself surpassed my expectations in almost every aspect. Travelled solo in June 2014 and I will definitely recommend it to any other solo travelers...

Perhaps the previous receptionist was having a bad day. |The building is old and it shows, but not until you leave the lobby. Malfunctioning lighting, paint coming off, low ceiling, rust. All signs of an old building though everything was quite clean and I did not see any vermin. Beds were comfortable. |I had no ensuite bathroom so had to use the shower rooms. Sadly, there were only two showers available so be prepared to wait. There's also a spa which I did not have a chance to use. Perhaps they have additional public showers there. |Wifi was excellent, price...
