Please avoid staying here if you don't like bathroom with mold and service from front desk is not very good.
Only good thing is location literally close to underground connection for station.
Originally booked 5 nights through KLOOK, check in process was the usual - passport and check in on time.
Lobby doesn't have much just free razors, toothbrush and hair brushes. They don't supply you water. There's no water to refill your bottle. Lobby just look empty with people's luggage everywhere as their storage for luggage.
We checked into our room and found our bathroom to be Moldy. The room a little stink but bathroom smells like mold.
We reached out to reception but they saying "it's not dirt it's just occur overtime" which is a joke but they don't even bother offer another room because they say "even other room would have the same problem".
We then reached out to Klook to see if they can help us. But found out at 2am out booking has been cancelled by the hotel to "compensate". Reached out to Klook again to see why it was cancelled but that's the hotel way to compensate and left us stranded for the other 4 nights. Luckily we are able to secure another hotel booking through another third party website.
When we try to check out the next day as KLOOK told us we have to find other accommodation (pretty much to move). They then ask us to pay for a night of 13,000 yen.
Waited 1 hr in the lobby as they would not let us check out stating they unaware of the situation for our booking to be cancelled. Staff was rude by that point too except for Nishino who able to speak English and tried help us out even when she's the one holding us there.
Paid our 13,000 yen which was about $160 AUD and Klook compensate us $90..
So if you thinking of complaining of your room moldy. You get what we...
Read moreI've been to this hotel many times and have just stayed in its rooms twice recently. In my stays, the bed in the former stay was too stiff and the bed in the latter stay was pretty OK. This hotel is pretty popular judging from the number of suitcases in the lobby.
I tried the buffet breakfast this time on 23 Dec 2017. 100 yens may be saved if you pre-book the breakfast. The quality was fair enough. Not many types of cereals were provided though. The oranges and grapefruits provided were juicy and tasty. The scramble egg was good and particularly delicious on top of a toast. You need to return your trays and find your table. Not much services were provided by the staff nor will her layout the table for you.
The things I like are The location is very convenient for travellers, exactly at one of the exits of 長崛橋駅, and a few exits of this subway station provide elevator which is very important for travellers.
The facilities in the vicinity: 道頓崛 for shopping and dining is in walking distance. Budget foods: 7-eleven, Mos Burger and Ippudo are nearby. The Crysta underground shopping street is at your finger tip.
The price is very reasonable and significantly cheaper compared to those hotels in Namba.
The rooms: i. Clean.
ii. The window can be opened. This is important because the air of a room could feel stuffy after heavy warm air conditioning. The fresh air helps a lot.
iii. Provides electricity even though the room key was removed. This is important for power pack charging that may not be done overnight.
Reasonable check out time: 11am
The rooms are small for travellers, like me, who has more than one suitcase. With patience it's not hard to...
Read moreI hate leaving reviews but because I worked and managed hotels in Chicago for 7 years I have to state my experiance.
Front desk was lovely, polite and accommodating. I was worried from reviews about their customer service but that was fortunately not our experience.
We stayed from sept 23-26 and requested a two bed room because upon reading how small the rooms were with oversize luggage I was prepared at check in. We had to pay more which was fine.
When going to the room we noticed a lot of stains on the ceiling, carpet and walls. The bathroom was TERRIBLE. Mold is everywhere in the bathroom. This is a huge problem. There should never be mold in a hotel room at ALL. If anything they should used bleach then air the rooms out to help guests not complain about this. Or update and re-chaulk the toilet and sinks. The facet was loose so switching the settings. The tub after the second night would fill to your ankle, clogged. Not pleasant. Beds were EXTREMELY hard. Did not sleep through the night and kept waking up due to it. Every morning me and my husband would literally crack and massage or hips and back from the stiffness. Only was we slept is because we would be exhausted from daily activities.
Sound was fine, very quiet even though Osaka is a busy city. I didn’t hear any noise.
Their lobby bathroom is worse than a public bathroom in the inner city of Chicago. Absolutely disgusting. Smelled, mold again and just looked super unhygienic. I avoided them as much as possible.
All in all, location was FABULOUS but i would never ever stay here again. You get what...
