Not sure why there is such practice by OYO Group (probably the center management team), that they still want to ask for "Final confirmation" ( via emailing/ texting/ calling) from guest during the check-in day itself, whether I still want to keep the booking? Shall i never reply to them within 30 minutes, mine booking is cancelled. That's exactly what happened to me during my trip! Me and my friends had actually arrived at OYO 327 buddy's hotel at 11am, but we knew that it was too early for check-in. We had left our luggages to proceed for our day tour, and the reception was aware that we will definitely return in the evening for check-in. The hotel staff had even told us our room number arranged for the stay. I can say here, that all the staff and housekeeping ladies at oyo 327 buddy's hotel are very nice and helpful, no problem with them at all. Until dinner time that I got free wifi connection at dining area, I saw OYO had sent me a few emails and the final ones was that: They had cancelled off mine booking as I was not reachable by them, also because I didn't reply to their latest emails to confirm if I will check-in for mine booking on the same day. Ridiculous! 1 thing OYO group must understand: Not every tourists will carry SIM card of foreign country to access network throughout. And we are on tour, definitely wouldn't even check on our email all the time. We were astonished to get such notice. All the while at oversea trips we never encounter such action from any hotels at all, even with late check-in timing. It was disturbing because we started to worry if we might end up without any accommodation, or even needing to do last minute booking with other hotels elsewhere. I have to quickly call up the helpline provided in the email to clarify on everything. After spending sometime over the phone, the teller said she is able to re-instate back my booking. While back to hotel, the staff was also made confused as she saw in their system that my booking was somehow "cancelled" she couldn't find any record. I need to explain to her what's going-on including showing her the messages i received. Good that she is understanding and quickly let us get our room key to rest for the day. I hope OYO group can look into how they manage guest booking in a more understanding and efficient way with the above sharing. As for review of the hotel stay itself, the place is noisy whereby there's a Karaoke nearby with loud music till 4am. Caused us restless night. The bedsheets looks dark like never changed before. Limited parking in front of the hotel lobby but abundance of spaces in two open car parks next to the hotel. Wi-Fi is slow if your rooms is away from the router. Room wise they offer huge rooms with air condition and ceiling fans. Bed and pillows are comfy to sleep soundly at night. Toilets offers hot shower and sitting stool. Abundance of mirror in the shower and the dresser. There is an open wardrobe too. Also there is two Malay restaurants just next to the hotel that opens at 6pm - 4am. Although that establishments play loud music the soundproof windows offer a silent respite. Hotel also have hot water dispenser at each floor of the 3 storey buliding that have a single reliable lift. Alsore are 24 hours convenience stores 7-Eleven and KK Mart within walking distance. Also there is a 24 hours mamak restaurant also within walking distance. Also there is a Pakistani restaurant and more Malay street stalls selling East Coast delicacy like ikan singgang and belut. This hotel is just next to Quill Mall which offers more western restaurants and shopping experience with a GSC Cinema to boot. Also there are ATMs from Maybank and CIMB as well as other banks nearby. During the day there are many cars and motorcycles workhop nearby. If you book via OYO app you may rent a double room at USD$12 or Ringgit RM50 per night.
