Definitely not recommended to stay in. This hotel is not prepared for Tourists after the pandemic. The best times of this place are for sure over and there is a lot of work to do to reach back to a international level. Not to be too negative the staff is always kind, friendly and helpful. When I arrived and reached my room I noticed that it was not cleaned properly. I mean I don't mind if they have overseen minor things. But having multiple marks of the bedsheets on both single beds is not acceptable. Also marks on the wall and even the lamp on the desk were simply not seen. As I reached after a long trip at 12 in the night I was not able to look for another hotel so I went back to the reception. Surprisingly was that for the staff there this wasn't a new information so I got offered a new room. The employee helping me with the luggage was ashamed showing him the concerned points. Overall not one room out of 3 was acceptable. Too unfortunate for me it was late night and the place was very convenient for me. A window cleaning from inside is overdue in all rooms I have been in - and not only seen at night. Even marking this by post it stickers didn't raise the attention of the staff. In all 3 rooms the bedsheets were not totally clean (and again I don't mind minor topics as they have a lot of rooms and laundry). After changing the room there was no room cleaning done unless I complained after a couple of days. Then the room cleaning forgot to bring water once and once I ended up without a towel another day. Again: such things can happen. But here you can find all cases how it shouldn't work. Some parts in the bathroom were leaking. Fair enough it's some years old. But even the watermarks were not cleaned by the staff. And that's again my concern. The room cleaning is simply not done properly. Additionally a small neon colored piece of confetti or part of a dress was there all my stay long. And this was not the place not getting cleaned. For 2 days I had to have my shower with cold water without any notice of interruptions of the warm water supply. The maintenance team doing some adjustments of the walls in the corridor in front of my room. But the marks in the room were not getting at least repainted. The breakfast was average but ok. Was a good mix on local and international food. The hotel has a lot of action points until it's on a acceptable standard.

Eastin Hotel Ramadan Buffet – A Gym Rat’s Feast It was the last week of Ramadan, and my colleagues invited me to buka puasa with them. Since I had fasted the whole day, I figured, why not? Arrived at the hotel parking around 6:45 PM, well ahead of iftar, because I take my food very seriously. By 7 PM, we were at the buffet area. Everyone scattered like hungry hyenas, piling their plates with carbs and desserts. Meanwhile, I had one mission: MEAT. First stop: The whole roasted goat/lamb—I couldn’t tell which, but once it’s roasted, does it even matter? Second stop: Satay. Because meat on a stick is just fun. Third stop: Steamed asam fish, because balance is key (and fish is still protein). I went for two full rounds of the same dishes because they were just that good. There was also baked lamb, but it was so tough that I felt like I was training my jaw for a strongman competition. The roasted one, though? Chef’s kiss. Once I conquered the meat section, I ventured into the world of desserts. The cakes were solid, so I took a bite of everything like a true scientist. Finished it off with ice cream to “cleanse my palate” (totally not an excuse to eat more sugar). The only letdown? The drinks. Almost watery. I took a sip of each one like a beverage connoisseur, then promptly switched to plain water. Hydration is key, after all. They serve pretty much the same dishes every year—I know because I was here last year too. But hey, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. The ambience was nice, and it’s a great place to gather with friends. Parking? RM8 flat after 6 PM. Will I come back next year? Absolutely. Why would a gym rat say no to unlimited, protein-packed, free gains? ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️☆ (1-star deduction for the drinks, but the meat carries the team.)

A strategically located, old but established hotel that could do better when it comes to cleanliness. There were dust in the corners of the room and water damage in the bathroom drain. Spacious room, comfortable bed and good amenities. The room service staffs were polite and did a good job. The swimming pool was a bit small. The water temperature gradually turned lower towards the end of our stay. Two staffs working at the check-in counter that very day were rude and clueless respectively. A man talked to us in a condescending manner when we were about to check in. We told him we had booked online and he just said "good", nonchalantly. If I recall correctly, we had to ask him what the next step was ourselves and then only he asked for our booking number, which was confusing at its best because of all the hotels I've stayed in, nationally or internationally, what they needed was the booking person's name and identification number. We had to fumble with our phones to look for the booking number until his co-worker gently asked us for our names and passport number. And voila, a booking number wasn't needed after all for check-in! Who would have thought? Another woman just smiled at us blankly and refused to answer when we asked simple questions. It was only after we've repeated the same question a few times then only she said "I don't know." Overall a good experience, but please be more friendly, as hotels lay in the heart of the hospitality industry.

5 star hotel?Yes. 2 star services.. YES. AND the service and staffs needs to be revisited URGENTLY. They seem to be rude from the get go.Even prior to check in, we called and asked or for a possible late check in and later check out time .Expecting to hear a no and perhaps an additional charge may be needed, all we got was a robotic 'our check in time is 3pm and check out time is 12pm ' Fine. Duly noted. upon arrival, they asked for a room deposit of rm150 , Fine, I was about to tap my smart watch, was told and I quote, 'No I need your physical card' rude much? Next me and the mrs wanted to check out their lounge for a drink, we walked in twice, at 9.45pm and 10.10pm both times not noticed by anyone or served by the restaurant staff who noticed us but chose to ignore our presence. I even asked the bell hop if they were opened and he said to go right in and have a seat. Felt foolish and embarrassed to be left alone that way. Went back to the room, saw the room service menu, called for drinks. On the menu, it it was mentioned the lounge opens until 11pm. I called at 10.40pm, asked I could order some cocktails,I was put on hold and then I was told 'no..sorry no cocktails'.,We closed at 10pm'. Strange. I asked for wine instead, put on hold again and waited about 20 mins for my wine to arrive at my room. The wine was good ans strong, thank God I have a manner to relax and out the horrible experience behind me ..so far. The next morning at breakfast, some Indonesian guests were having breakfast near my table, every one was trying to enjoy the mediocre fare for a 5 star breakfast buffet, yes, It was that mediocre, until the hotel manager approached the table beside me and pointed at the feet of my neighbours, and... I quote, 'hello sorry , cannot wear slipper here, cannot come in restaurant" in a rather loud and impolite and embarrassing manner!! I noticed the guests wore those paper slippers that hotels provide, didn't even know it wasn't allowed, but, could you not have politely whispered instead of flashing your coat and pointing people out that way? Appaling for a 5 star hotel! Seriously. The concierge was asked what would the charge for parking be without validation, he got confused and asked me if I did not want to validation, I gave up and got my card validated without getting my answer simply because he failed to understand my question. I am a local tourist, who paid good money in today's economy for a small getaway, but ended up wanting to quickly get away from this 2 star service 5 star hotel. Don't wanna repeat this experience. I repeat, Eastin KL, your service is appaling!Do buck up please and.. there is a big shopping mall with 2 hotels attached to it nearby, have their buffet breakfast and experience what's truly 5 star service...

Subject : Disappointed Regular Customer - ( Please Bring Back the Old Eastin Hotel Management ) I am writing to express my disappointment with some recent changes at your esteemed establishment , which have left me with a sour taste in my mouth . As a loyal & frequent guest of Eastin Hotel since early 2023 , I have always enjoyed my stays & held the hotel in high regard . However , a few recent developments have left me questioning my loyalty . Firstly , I would like to commend two exceptional staff members , Thania + Imelda + Syaz , along with a handful of other staff members , who have consistently provided excellent service . Their dedication to ensuring guests have a delightful experience has not gone unnoticed & they are a credit to your hotel . However , it deeply frustrates me that I recently had to pay for cutlery just to enjoy a meal in your hotel's dining establishments . I have been a guest in numerous high-class hotels , but I have never encountered such an absurd charge . It feels unnecessary & leaves the impression that your hotel is nickel-and-diming its guests , which is disappointing considering the quality & standard I have come to expect from Eastin Hotel . Adding insult to injury , there was no prior indication that a deposit would be required during my recent stay . While I understand that certain hotels impose such a policy , it comes as a surprise to me that Eastin Hotel , being in the same high-class category as others , has suddenly decided to adopt this practice . It is an inconvenience & an unexpected expense that I would prefer to avoid . I have been a loyal patron of Eastin Hotel for some time now & I have always appreciated the excellent services & facilities it had to offer . However , with these recent changes , I feel as though the hotel is losing touch with its customers . As a regular guest who always chooses Eastin Hotel without hesitation , I am disheartened by these developments . I kindly request that you reconsider these new policies & bring back the Eastin Hotel experience that I have come to know & love. By doing so , you can ensure that loyal guests like myself , who have been returning to your hotel for months , will continue to choose Eastin over other options . Without swift action , I fear that you run the risk of losing your regular customers & I genuinely do not want to go down that path . I look forward to witnessing the return of the remarkable Eastin Hotel experience that has made me a...
