CONS: No pool, there is a pool located at the facility but it belongs to the sister hotel which you have to pay a fee in order to use. The music by the pool is too loud and makes it hard to sleep at night. Also there is no soundproofing so you hear loud, drunk people walking past your room which also creates a sleep disturbance. There is no continental breakfast, so you will have to look for food at the nearest convenience store. There was only 1 TV channel I could find that played anything in English. I truly wish that they had not dubbed the American films in Spanish and instead had used subtitles so I could still be able to unwind at the end of the day and watch a film. The staff was nice and polite, however, their English is limited so it was hard to make a reservation when I had called them on the phone and sometimes needed to use Google translate in order to request things. They do not restock the toiletries and I had to ask them to do so because after 4 nights, 2 people can definitely use up a small bar of soap. The room had a kind of damp smell. The sheets were clean, yet had stains on them. No Mini Fridge - biggest gripe was not being able to buy snacks or water to keep cold in the room... and no ice room either. No kettle with tea and coffee. Just really minimal stuff here all around. And not the best area since it is considerably far from a beach and the streets at night are a little hard to navigate as they are really poorly paved and you really need to take a taxi or a shuttle bus to get anywhere. Lastly, I never saw an elevator, so if you have difficulty with stairs I would recommend asking in advance to book on the 1st floor.||PROS: Staff was always polite. Room was always clean. 2 free bottles of water per day, but an extra charge if you want more. When I needed to print some vouchers for some tours that I was taking they were very polite in doing so. When I cut myself after I fell down on a tour they were very helpful in sending up someone to my room with a first aid kit so I could get some gauze and antiseptic. I really thought the people who worked here were all friendly and did not have one bad interaction with any staff member. If you do need to grab a quick bite to eat there is a restaurant about one block away that is really good, and there are also several OXXO convenience stores too. There is air conditioning and a bath tub (not just a shower). My room also came with a balcony, not that I used it. Price is affordable - not great for a romantic couples thing, but good for people on a budget who can live without amenities...
Read moreWorst hotel I've ever been to. Rooms are small and not clean, we found bugs and insects, the pool is in the middle of the hotel, so basically anyone from the street can see you. I get it, it is super cheap, but at least you except good service, well... don't even get me started on that, the service is second to none, unfriendly front desk, it feels like they hate their jobs. This guy Esequiel at the front desk was super rude, he couldn't find our reservation and had to wait to long to solve it. Waiters don't even care and food is bad, no taste at all. i will not recommend this hotel to anyone. Not even the location is good, terrible neighboorhood even though...
Read moreI´ve been in this hotel twice, and I´ll keep staying there every time I go to Cancun. The staff is very kind, the hotel and specilly the room are extremely clean. Food at the restaurant is not bad, I strongly recommend a Cocodrilo sandwich, they are excellent. Also they have a buffet (not included in the morning). The best of this hotel is its location, away from the residencial and overcrowded center of the city, is VERY, VERY quiet and less than 5 mins in car from Puerto Cancun and the hotel zone (Zona hotelera) I strongly recommend it. Oh! Very important they have a private FREE parking in the back of the hotel, with...
