Read moreI arrived to this hotel expecting it to be a fine experience, I was not hoping to be astonished by it but I expected it to be somewhere I could shower and sleep for three nights. Horror story began after they gave me my room keys; the lobby looks fine and the elevators look very modern but rooms above the 11th floor or so look very old, like the corridor is dirty and the carpet looks really worn down; then I opened my room and it looked bad, I don't mean like really bad but bad as a motel from a movie; then I removed my shoes and the floor was extremely dirty, like it had some chunks of dirt in it that actually hurt me; then the internet was terrible, free internet was bellow .3Mb/s and I decided to pay for the "premium" internet and it was less than 3Mb/s and I could barely open Facebook or YouTube (even using my private VPN which is usually really fast). Then came time to sleep and the mattress did not have any sheets so I asked the reception for some sheets for my bed three times and it never arrived; furthermore, there was no AC in the room and Guadalajara was kind of hot that day so it made sleeping really difficult; I complained about this and after four phone calls someone brought a fan into my room. Finally by the morning I had to take a shower and the shower had no towels so I had to order them (which tbh they did considerably fast), and when I got into the showe itself it looked really dirty, it even had some hair sticking to the wall. Overall this was a terrible experience; I don't believe it was only me that thought the hotel was really bad because I asked more than 5 different persons in the elevators how they thought the hotel was and they all said it was terrible, also, I traveled with more than 10 persons and they all told me they had similar experiences. I was all excited about going to the mission Carlton hotel because they said that they had an American Christmas menu and the maitre d' was all smiles and said all you have to come at 1:30 in the afternoon and I did I didn't need to be there at one-thirty that was the first mistakethey did not know what cranberries were so I brought my own cranberries and I brought my own wine 6000 peso for champagne which is a hundredso I brought my wine and I ordered coffee and then he wanted me possibly to order a glass of know I'll wait that's fine and so I had coffee and it was very good they had put some they have put cappuccino in it and it was very I have him to bring out my first course which was a hotmushroom soup I'll get to the main thing anyway I don't even really eat turkey but I was just being an American I wanted something fromactuality he didn't even know what that meant okay and so then when he brought out the plate it was mashed potato but it was a sweet potato but it was good but the turkey the gravy everything was there was ham with the turkey now you know I don't this is ham and he says no and then at the end of the situation he saysthey did not make a stuffing for the turkey and he did not know what I was speaking of so it was supposed to be 200 peso he charged me 400peso so what they're advertising it is not with the actually happen and I spoke to someone and he really doesn't know they didn't do any investigation on what a turkey dinner supposed to be and I won't be returning thereI was disappointed on the way the manager handle the situation that's one of the...

I was never able to get work done as the internet service was limited and the wifi kelpt saying it was not safe so that was very very annoying and it's absolutely terrible that 1 of their staff stoled a gold chain that has more sentimental value than its actually worth, I offered a much much higher compensation for retrieving due to my son passing away in 2007. Management totally stuck up for the employee and couldn't even contact the employee. Who doesn't have employee contact information? We checked out at 11am this waiting on trying to contact the employee went on till 5pm they even offered another room so as to go through all items in our luggage and make sure it wasn't misplaced.
