Milton Chalet Motels — Hotel in Nelson

I stayed here when my flight was unexpectedly cancelled. Unfortunately no other accommodation was available in Nelson. I was given a two storey chalet. |This chalet was disgusting. It was unclean, run down and infested with ants all over the kitchen area and in the beds. I complained and asked for this to be dealt with. I was advised that there are ants everywhere and they can’t be stopped. |The owner did attend the chalet and made an attempt while I was out to clear the kitchen of ants. |Every bed had ants crawling around. Although the sheets appeared to be ‘clean’, the smell of the bedding suggested otherwise. |After a very disturbed night (I had nowhere else to go), I woke to find my handbag full of ants. |I also discovered a half empty bottle of baby oil under the bed. |The cleanliness and general maintenance of this motel is very poor. The room was very homely except for the mold in the bathroom Cupboard and the exploding lights in the downstairs room. The new partnership of owners is a different feel than the 'old guy' that used to own it. Oshi was very lovely and helpful while I didn't get the pleasure of meeting her business partner he didn't seem to put out a very good vibe of fair play. I ended up getting asked to leave after he was told by 'somebody' that I had an extra guest in my room that was recently out of jail and we were on the deck drinking and smoking the m.j! This was not true and very surprising to me that they would listen to such trash. I thought it would of been very obvious to tell if someone had been doing either of those things in a room and there was clearly no sign of either of these things occurring. Very...

This motel changed hands in September 2018 and is under an extensive refurbishment process by the current owners. All of my unit had been completed except for the upright stove and this was explained to be by the owner at check in. ||I chose this motel as I was attending a wedding at Founders Park and it was a 10 minute walk in heels to the wedding. The unit also had a pool which sadly I didn't have time to use. Also within walking distance a Sprig and Fern pub serving food and an excellent take away shop serving multiple cuisines only 4 minutes walk.||||The new owners have worked hard to make these motels a clean and safe option for your stay and are super friendly and accommodating.||||I stayed 3 nights 1-4 Feb 2019, booked direct and was very happy...
