Boulevard Motel & Restaurant — Hotel in North Island

Not great experience from the beginning held a room and rang back next day to book. Got a call the day after asking if I still wanted the room as I had not contacted. On the day of booking rang to say circumstances changed could we change room to be told no as they were very busy and not able to change to smaller room so confirmed family room. Arrived with original numbers seeing as couldn't change to find that they had changed the room to smaller one and had to muck around to accommodate. Then staff didn't seem to know area that well. Missed out on AaPoints as was not asked if had a card. Motel is tired aneeds some upgrading. Had pool table you had to pay for yet didn't even have cue chalk. Pictures on website where not what we experienced. To manoeuvre in the bathroom area was very difficult. The extending table didn't work or fit in the space even if it did. And who knew how to get the microwave to work. SKY TV well? Sports and national geographic? The one positive was the beds were great cleaning good just old and tired and certainly not worth the room rate I believe. But this is my experience others may have had a...

We stayed 3 nights over labour weekend. The stay was pleasant - room well serviced (they made our beds and washed our dishes while we were out biking for the day). Inside the units is everything you need but the paintwork is needing a refresh, actually the whole thing inside needs a refresh. The complex must be a nightmare to maintain as everything else very old. |We had a great stay. There were 2 TVs in our unit (1 in bedroom). The wifi was good - a bit slow for uploads but okay for a free service.||The main swimming pool was clean and pleasant to swimming but the tiling looks grotty as tiles are falling out and there are holes where the mouldy grout has rotted away. ||The mineral pools I cleaned regularly and we are nice to soak in but once again the decor leave something to be desired. |||The car park area is very tight. ||Certainly it’s a great budget option to be so central with all the facilities you need. |Would I stay again - not sure - Next time we will probably look at paying a bit more for something a bit...

Was good /EXCELLENT helpful service, considering it was a really busy period, they still managed to hold a room for us till we decided on which day we wanted ! Dont know about all the rooms but ours was a family 2x bedroom's ,( dated ) but very tidy an well set out with plenty of family space ,good size comfortable beds an well heated rooms ,has a fantastic games room for the whole family, good swimming pool and thermal minerals pools an out side spa . Close to main city an eaterys , small distance from lake and all activities ,supermarket just down the Road ,they have a breakfast menu for your rooms plus a Restaurant for dinner meals, that can be used for breakfast as well as.
