TMACS Auckland — Hotel in Waitematā

I stayed in a four bed, male dorm room.

Overall, it was a great stay. I would stay again. Make sure you pack earplugs!

Pros great communal space comfortable beds good air conditioning (although it turned off after a few hours and could only be turned back on by texting reception) couch and fridge in the room clean amenities with a surplus of showers and toilets couches and lounges on both levels with lots of space free laundry facilities (washing and drying) affordable onsite parking ($15 per day) staff were great and available

Cons no curtains on bunk beds nowhere to put toiletries in the shower other than on the floor loud street noise (the rooms mostly front onto a four lane main road in the city) Sirens and cars were loud during the night. the room doors were loud when they opened and shut, disturbing the person sleeping right next to the door (this could be fixed with a door closer/silencer or something the makes the door shut quietly...

Great hostel! Highly recommend!

Arrived here late at night after a horrible experience with a different hostel. After I arrived, the staff were very helpful. My room had lots of space in it. I especially enjoyed the fact that I had a mini fridge in my room, along with a small couch, in addition to the beds. Kitchen is huge and clean, so plenty of room to coock yourself a nice meal. The laundry and drier machines are free which was really really nice. The hostel has of space to sit and socialize, as well as quieter places that allow you to sit in concentrate. Thr showers and toilets were clean and plentiful. Overall an amazing stay. I even enjoyed the fact that they have parking in the hostel, which is something really rare to find in the CBD great hostel. Highly recommend that...

It’s our first day (24 Oct 25) in New Zealand after a long exhausting journey from Southeast Asia, only to find this TMACS Auckland to have closed already. The signboard was taken down. After we pressed the bell, the person was telling us they have nothing to do with TMACS! Our status at booking.com is still in Confirmed stage!! After lots of attempts we could not reach the manager/owner and had to contact booking.com. We checked google review and found other victims earlier than us. All accommodation booking websites please take down/unlist TMACS and inform everyone who has a booking with them. We do not want another victim of this again.
