I can't call this place "budget" by SE Asian standards, so, being accustomized to these standards by living for years in Asia, and neither too rich nor a "big spender", for a week or more I'd rather choose something more humble. But the facilities are not really "budget" too. The room (I've stayed in Standard room on the upper floor, which has some sea view from in front of the door) is reasonably large, the only thing I think needs to be improved is lighting - having just one CFL ceiling lamp for such a room is just a bit too dark. The resort's territory is not too large, but is cozy and green, there's even a bowling field available, and one morning I've seen many people there playing. The restaurant is large, right on the beach, and the prices are much better than what I've seen in other resorts nearby - unless you drink a lot or choose the most expensive foods, alone it's difficult to reach even the 500 peso mark, most of the even more interesting seafood dishes are under P300, and some appetizers (like sizzling tofu) are even under P100 - not bad for a resort! I spent a lot of time in the restaurant drinking coffee and working online, and while the daytime was a bit hot, it was OK to sit there because of the constant (sometimes a bit too strong) sea breeze. But there's no actual sandy beach in front of the resort, you have to walk down the wooden ladder and then to make a step or two across a few boulders before you'll finally hit the sand. No sharp rocks though and the bottom is generally clean. If you don't want to withstand that, the pool is just great, large and is open till 11pm. Initially I just wanted to stay for 1 night, but eventually stayed for 4 nights before going to Manila because I had some things to do there. The bill (including the restaurant) was settled on check out, using a credit card which was convenient because I intended to withdraw money in HSBC Manila fee-free and didn't have much cash with me at the end (there's no ATM nearby as well, the nearest is Metrobank in Bauang 5 km away, and it gives only P10000 at once). All the resort's staff, including the receptionists, the restaurant staff, the security, etc. were pleasant to deal with and efficient. Overall, by far it was the best place I've ever stayed in the Philippines, just on the upper range of my usual budget (I paid significantly cheaper even on Boracay during the January high season), but, well, in this case definitely you get what you've paid for, and the other resorts I've checked around (both online and by walking in) are no cheaper, but aren't as...

Read moreI gave it 3 stars because the staff are friendly. They informed us beforehand that there is no shore, so you cannot walk by the beach; but you "can" swim if you like. There is just one swimming pool. The restaurant is open 24 hours, I like their food, I'd say it's average. We got a standard room. And I'd rate it ⭐... the fridge is dirty and rusty. Although there are screened doors, there are looooooooots of mosquitoes, AND COCKROACHESSS. There is like a laminated paper saying they change the sheets everyday, but they don't. We stayed there for 2 nights and we were out on the 2nd day visiting our relatives, we came back to the same sheets. I like that the rooms are air conditioned. I think we're too near the sea that's why I've had a hard time sleeping because the crashing of waves are so strong. I should've followed the tip that was reccommended on one travelling site, to get the rooms near the pool. It's just the cleanliness of the room that I have an issue on. The staff are very friendly, it's an...
