Villa Tranquility by OurMadeira — Hotel in Calheta

The Villa was more than we ever dreamed off. It was large beautifully decorated with comfortable chic furniture with huge glass walls to take in the serene and dramatic views. The kitchen area was appointed with the most modern European appliances and with an abundance of glassware, plates , pans ect....for any group size. The rooms and bath rooms were large and comfortable also with large windows. Downstairs there is a large recreation/ workout room with pool table another TV with a Wii console. The stationary bike was a good size and smooth which I used for my workouts and completed with bands , hand weights and even an ab roller. The pool and Jacuzzi tub were perfect for relaxing and with the extensive patio and roof top terrace with comfy chairs and loungers you were sure to get the sunshine you wanted. The town of Prazeres with its restaurants, pubs, stores ect was within walking distance but be prepared to hike up the twisty narrow streets. All very colorful and picturesque. By car it is minutes away to these centers and 20 minutes down to the seaside towns of Paul Do Mar, Magdalena Do Mar, and Calijeta with numerous seaside restaurants of the exquisit and varied cuisine. The whole island is accessible through the extensive moder roadways with amazing modern tunnels and bridges. However of the highway system the roads are still in good condition but be prepared for steep winding roads with dramatic drop offs. Awsome!! A great holiday, with an incredible view of the ocean and sun from dawn to dusk! Only a 10 minutes drive to Paul do Mar (surfers) or Calheta (sand beach). Best equiped rental home we ever had. High-quality appliances, chinaware, towels etc... Love the coffee machine options. Decor very new, pleasant and the home is very clean. I had a great stay at this calm and lovely place. The view of the ocean is amazing. I especially enjoyed the rooftop terrace and the jacuzzi. Every bedroom has its own bathroom. I would always recommend renting a car on Madeira since the villa is located 30min drive from funchal in beautiful nature and also it is more convenient to explore the island by car.
