Marigot Bay Yacht Haven — Hotel in Saint Lucia

We stayed on a mooring here and used the marina services for a few days and enjoyed our stay. The lady who works at the front desk is over the top lovely, friendly and very helpful. The moorings are a little close together for the typical boats that stay on them but when you come in a local guy (aka. Sniper) zips past you in a dinghy and leads you to a mooring and he does a nice job of spacing the boats out. There isn't much wind in here nut most of the time the boats face the near same direction. :) They also did a great job with laundry. The only two small pieces which didn't see to fit in well with everything is the awkward place that is their dinghy dock area...there was a huge channel mooring where you climb out and space only for a few dinghy at most so people were parking dinghys along where boats go... can't blame them. And the women's showers for use for those staying at the marina are in the poorest state of any showers at any marina we have ever been to. Very decrepit and a stream of water comes down, drain not working well, just kind of shocking given the marina otherwise seems to be well run. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and...

We are about to come to the end of an extended stay at the marina. We arrived in December 2021 and because of Omicron we were unable to travel easily into the pacific. We made the decision to keep the boat here for the year until we were able to start again. What can I say about the team here. Troy and his team of Milanus, Mandy, Vicky and Andre could not have looked after us and our boat any better than they did. Friendly, courteous, cheerful and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. For anyone with a boat in the Caribbean they will know that hurricane insurance is impossible to find however we stayed and had a plan with the team if high winds should come. Everything was fine but I know they were present overnight on a couple of occasions when the forecast was poor. It is also a great spot to hang out and work on the boat. We will miss them when we leave next week and doubt that we will find a team of their calibre again. Thanks guys. It has been great. Beautiful but not quiet. The harbour and the bay are sensationally beautiful. The water is very calm and it's really good to anchor here. Unfortunately, the peace and quiet was disturbed on the first night by the karaoke bar. It seems that every bay in St Lucia has one... Our second night was during the week and we were hoping for more peace and quiet. Unfortunately there was a super yacht moored on the quay with a very very loud generator running all night.
