Pension Le Monde Bardejov — Hotel in Bardejov

To all potential guests, beware that the staff really wants you out of the room by 10:00 AM. I stayed one night. In the morning, the cleaning lady started banging on my door at 9:30 AM and did so repeatedly until I left at about 10:15 AM. She also tried to enter the room multiple times in that 45 minutes, but was unable to do so because my key was in the lock. I responded each time telling her I needed a few more minutes, so this wasn't a misunderstanding, just incredibly rude behavior on her part.

The room itself was cheaply furnished and the bathroom was tiny, but it was clean and more than acceptable given its low price. I would have rated it four stars if the interaction with the staff had been better. However, given how I was treated, I would not recommend for anyone to stay here. If you do decide to stay, make sure to always lock the door and leave the key in the lock so no one can open it from the outside (while you're inside)......

Bardejov is a lovely place - you feel immersed in history and there's a great atmosphere and nightlife. Really loved my time there especially as we stayed in the perfect location - literally a stone's throw from the square. it's also walking distance to the bus/ train station. This place was very reasonable but I suppose if you consider how cheap everything is in Bardejov, it might be a bit expensive. We had a lovely big room, with big comfy bed, couches and tv, a separate kitchen and separate bathroom with lovely big bath and big shower.||Negative points: no air con (obviously this doesn't matter at other times of year), no elevator (we weren't surprised by this but we heard another couple giving out mad about it to staff), reception isn't 24 hours (only til 22.00 but they did keep it open longer for us when we were checking in) Would definitely stay here again or recommend...

The location could not be better, a minute's walk from the historic main square. The reception is in a bar in the basement, very smoky, but don't be fooled: the apartment (a walkup to the third floor) is impeccably clean, without even a hint of residual smoke. Parking is in a reserved street space directly in front. The apartment is spacious, with living room, bedroom, kitchen, small deck and bathroom, well laid out and extremely comfortable. We took the breakfasts next morning, which were served during a power outage in the reception area, but the server hardly missed a beat. Excellent English spoken, by the way, and good service all around. We would stay here again,...
