Her house is warm and welcoming, situated in the charming little West Coast village of Leipoldtville,(Pop approx 300) centrally located as a base for exploring the coastal and inland villages and sites of interest. Don't miss the historical Heerenlogement caves nearby, a stopover resting point for travelers in the 18th century with more than 100 signatures carved into the rock. Another must is Fryer's Cove Winery in Doringbay, the mouth of the Olifants river at Papendorp with mind blowing bird watching. Then inland to Clanwilliam And the Cederberg, the 2020 spring flowers in the Biedouw Valley were the best I've ever seen. And I could go on...

The rooms were pristine, the beds comfortable, breakfast was fabulous and filling and beautifully cooked. Anita was a fund of information with all her local knowledge. The guest wing stop was a great place to sit, enjoy the bird call, listen to the church bell chiming on the hour.||Leipoldville is one of those fabulous off the beaten track little dorps that are so great to find.
