Almost ran completely late for an event that we were working at because of unwillingness to help on staff/management's part - room was booked overseas by a third party and the hotel wouldn't let us check in without the card that paid for the room? Even a photo or a letter wouldn't suffice - apparently Nightsbridge's new policy starting 2 days before that... Anyway, the argument continued for 20 minutes (started with us running perfectly on time), and then a further 20 after we got back (we thought we would quickly check in and drop off our bags to come back and get ready after a meeting). We eventually found a resolution (suggested by ourselves out of desperation because we were so bloody late by now) to pay for the room AGAIN on a separate card (thankfully the international guest who was responsible for the room had a second card on her so we didn't have an admin story between ourselves for later too), so we could check in. The manager was being pretty rude and impatient when I walked in, I don't know if that's how to speak to customers regardless of how annoying you perceive them. The room was fine. Not good, just fine. Not rushing back, or recommending...

Reception staff were friendly and helpful. Carpets on stairs, in bedrooms and corridors are filthy! Linen and towels are crisp and clean, however the pillows themselves are badly stained and need replacing. The fridge smelt terrible and old food and crumbs could be seen under and around it. Judging by the filth on the carpets we didnt utilise the black couch in the room for fear of the same dirt and grime. A great location and exterior but the inside needs a proper spring clean and clearly the cleaning staff need supervision. So disappointing as having self catering facilities is a huge plus when travelling with children.
