Knysna Wayside Inn — Hotel in George

The Knysna Wayside Inn was a charming and comfortable accommodation that exceeded my expectations. The rooms were tastefully decorated, with a mix of modern and vintage elements that added to the overall character of the inn. The beds were comfortable, and the rooms were clean and well-maintained. However, the shower did have an issue with high water pressure, which made it a bit uncomfortable to use. Additionally, the bathroom counter was a bit loose, so I had to be careful not to lean on it too heavily as it could easily break.

The location of the Knysna Wayside Inn was convenient, as it was close to shopping areas and restaurants. However, the shopping areas were not as well-maintained as I would have liked, and I didn't feel entirely safe walking around in them. Despite this, the inn itself was located in a relatively safe and peaceful area, which was a nice respite from the busier parts of town.

The customer service at the Knysna Wayside Inn was excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful, and there was always someone available at the front desk to assist with any questions or concerns I had. I appreciated that there was an actual person available to talk to, rather than just an automated system.

The inn also had all the amenities I needed, including reliable internet access. The price of the accommodation was reasonable, especially considering the location and amenities offered. Overall, my experience at the Knysna Wayside Inn was positive, and I would definitely consider staying there again...

I would give it a negative rating. We booked it on Friday evening as we were on honeymoon and had more things we wanted to do before leaving. Saturday evening late it started raining and was still raining Sunday morning when we had to check out of our other accommodation, we weren't able to do any of the outdoor things we had planned due to the rain. We drove straight to Knysna Wayside Inn and explained the situation and asked if we could please cancel without penalty and we were even willing to loose up to 50% of what we paid. They flat out refused. I think given the circumstances the fact that it was only booked on friday the weather completely taking things out of our control and the fact that the booking was only one night one might believe that circumstance and customer service should have played a role and we should have at least only had to pay 50%...

Nice little BnB , pleasant breakfast . Not huge but sufficient.. Would not let us check in early . After an 8 hr drive we got to the hotel at 4am and slept in the parking lot . At about 7am we asked the concierge to plz let us check ìn earlier explaining that we were now almost 12 hrs with 2 smaller kids who needed the toilet as well , in a car but he refused . Had to walk around the town until check in at 1pm . Whilst we understand that rules are rules , sometimes life does happen . We were even prepared to pay for an additional day however he said check out for other guests was 11am and he won't be able to accommodate us . Thank God the Woolworths in Knysna mall was open at 7am so we could get something to...
