This had to be one of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed at for multiple reasons.
for some reason, the room I was staying in was like a furnace. The AC doesn’t turn on until I put my key in the slot which is pretty normal for hotels in Korea, that being said, the other hotels didn’t feel like an oven as soon as I entered the room. I would literally have to strip down naked until the AC kicked in.
they state that have laundry but they don’t specify that it’s just a washer. They don’t have a dryer.
the room seems to trap in moisture. I was trying to hang dry my clothes but they would dry at all. They were hung up for 2 and a half days!! As soon as I hung them up in my next hotel, they dried in no time.
the water temp is extremely inconsistent. I couldn’t get any hot water at all for the first 2 days. After that the water would be hot for a few minutes before getting cold.
they don’t have full sized towels. They just have hand towels.
finally, flaws aside, I decided to stay here for an additional night after coming back from Busan for convenience because it’s right beside Seoul station. The day before I left for Busan, I asked if I could book the hotel from May 9-10. The girl at the front ended up booking my hotel for the 7th (the day after I left for Busan). When I got to the hotel it took so much back and fourth to get this resolved. I had to show them my bus ticket, hotel booking, etc just to resolve the issue and get this solved.
I asked if I could extend my check out for an hour and a half. I was hoping that after yesterday’s incident it would be free, but no, they wanted to charge me more.
Stay away from this hotel, it’s...
Read more2 nights in February 2019. Second time at this hotel (I have an older review from last year somewhere below, haha). Nothing's changed, but that's not a bad thing when one considers the good location and available facilities.||||The room was a bit scruffy around the edges, but not too badly maintained and with all the essentials fitted (including an ensuite bathroom). The common pantry in the basement is open round the clock; there's a simple breakfast (free of charge) with toast, cereal, juice, and coffee available there during a small window of time in the morning.||||Seoul Station is close by, although not as easy to reach as one might think since there's a very wide and very busy road separating it from the hotel's neighbourhood. A subway exit - #10 - is located just downhill from the front door, but quite a few steps to climb (especially when the escalators are turned off). This particular exit is convenient for Seoul Metro Line 4, a bit less so for Line 1, and even less so for the KTX and conventional trains. When I've got luggage in tow and the escalators aren't running, I find that walking to the (rather distant) pedestrian crossing is more convenient than using Exit 10 since this eliminates most of the staircases I'd have to otherwise negotiate.||||Not particularly expensive, though perhaps a little pricey for what you get.||||Happy with the stay and glad to keep it on the books as an option - mainly due to the location - but might also...
Read moreMy wife and I lodged at this hotel for four nights in early October. We arrived in the morning when our room still was not ready. The friendly receptionist was kind enough to let us deposit our luggages at the hotel for free. She even extended her hospitality by letting us use the washroom. We felt warm inside owing to her hospitality amidst the cold weather. ||After a long day walk at Myeong-dong and N Seoul Tower, we returned to the hotel to check into our room. The room is adequately sized to fit the two of us. Cleanliness was good, though signs of lack of maintenance were visible, e.g. cracked tiles, etc. The TV featured a rich selection of Korean channels (no English subs) and a couple of English and Mandarin channels. Basic breakfast was complimentary and made available at the hotel basement. WiFi was complimentary too. ||The greatest advantage of the hotel is its location. It sits right above Seoul Station, which is only two stops away from the shopping haven, Myeong-dong. Getting to other places from Seoul Station by train is convenient to say the least. Ease of transportation aside, the hotel is near LOTTE Mart Seoul Station and of course, LOTTE Outlets that features more than 100 famous brands. ||Overall, the experience with the hotel...
