Just returned from a week stay had a nice time for discounted price but it wasnt for us. If i had paid full price I would have been really upset. I write this as someone who has worked in travel industry for over 20 years so have quite a bit of travel experience. To start with the good. The housekeeping team were there everyday. The views from hotel are amazing. The room is spacious and shower is amazing. Always had hot water. The food was ok. We never went hungry. I think being a 4* and staying in other 4* resorts I expected more options and more choices. The pudding was always the same thing. I also found that if u went down at 6.30 when it opened expecting things to be hot as just made they were not, a lot of time cooked food would be cold. I think they need to look at offering more flexibility with the shuttle service due to distance to beach and town once a day each way for amount of people in hotel is not enough. Even if they had mini bus and one staff member operated it once and hour down and back. Even if the hotel charged a nominal 1€ fee they would make the money back quick. The hotel plays really loud music all day and then all evening and it can get a bit much sometimes making it feel like your in club 18 30s resort rather than tranquil peaceful setting. Even inside room doors closed you can hear it loud. I mention this as my daughter is on the spectrum and she struggled being in pool long periods due to how loud it was. When we have stayed in any other hotel we couldnt get her out the pool. Even if there were periods of day with no music or turned down. I also think the hotel due to its isolated location and times where drinks are not provided (once bars close only water machine works and it didnt always taste nice) could maybe have a small shop to buy essentials and also snacks and drinks. Would also be a way for hotel to earn extra but benefit guests. I also want to point out the balcony and connecting rooms didnt make sense or feel safe. We were traveling adult female and female child. we were allocated a connecting room with tissue paper wedged in door and the balcony did not make sense, room we connected with balcony was blocked with fence and wall the room next to us not connected a child or person could roll under. seemed a strange concept and wondered if this is left over from referb not being complete. I would also say dont rely on hotel for wake up calls, I asked for one as we had really early start 4.30am and it was a fail safe in case I missed alarm. I didnt get the call. Few small changes could make this an amazing hotel. But feel that people need to be aware of before travel.

Currently under new management. They are doing a great job of improving the hotel as a whole. Golf green is very nice too. A large balcony room facing the green, so it was nice to see the bird life. Food moderately good. A bit repetitive. Great restaurant & bar staff. Very friendly, prompt & happy to help. Many thanks to Carolina, Ana, Doko & Alfredo & all the others. Reception staff were very knowledgeable. Housekeeping needs to be more better . Animation team are fab especially Daria, who is the life & soul of the animation team. Cold water pool. A very good holiday indeed. Peaceful rural location about 45 minutes walk to the beach & Jandia main area. We would definitely visit again. Weather was very windy but dry. The evening entertainment is all outdoors & the cold wind made it difficult to enjoy the activities.

The hotel rooms are lovely and spacious. We had a standard family room and could not fault the space we had or beds. The beds were so comfortable. Rooms were very clean. We believe our room hadn't received the revamp but was modern enough and all that you needed for a comfortable stay.

Entertainment for the kids was excellent. They really did engage with the kids well. Always seemed to have time for them.

Hotel grounds, pool area was mainly clean but could have had some improvement. Some sunbeds were soiled with spilt drinks and chocolate, drains seemed to be overfilling. The area where the ping pong table was, was not very pleasant, a lot of debris off plants and spilt food/drink over the floor. Some of the walk ways around the hotel grounds had rubbish that was left for days, until it was removed. Bird poo at the foot of the steps to our block was only cleaned once in our ten day stay. The area around the restaurant seemed to only get deep cleaned (floor washed) every four days. Tables were always cleaned to a high standard. Some of the issues with rubbish was down to the guests. Unsure why people go on holiday and expect hotel staff to put things in the bin for them. Laziness. There is hotel improvements going on in some of the rooms but you wouldn't really know and they were in our block.

Was left very disgruntled one evening when returning to our room to find no pillow cases on the main bed. Asked reception for two, they only supplied one and was told had no access to get us another, we had to wait until the following day. It's a simple ask , a pillow from a hotel.

Food was ok, was probably one of the best I have had from an all inclusive, lunch being a favourite from the snack bar.

The pool, didn't seem very well managed. The pool was locked up at 19:00 and was reopened 10:00. Reserving of sunbeds was a no in the rules. Guest would lean over the fence and place the towels provided by the hotel on beds they could reach before the pool opened, this was to the extent of at least 20 beds being reserved before people had been allowed in. Guy would be finishing up the cleaning of the pools whilst this was going on and would ignore. Once in our stay the towels did get removed by pool staff. There is one guy most days that does the cleaning and opening of the two pools. He cant see everywhere all the time. Maybe there should be more than one guy. The atmosphere around the pool sometimes was not great due to guests being inappropriate to each other. This is no fault of the hotel. Hate to say it some typical all inclusive brits abroad. Some people should stay away from alcohol.

Staff are mostly all very friendly and can speak very good English. There is the odd member of staff, one receptionist and one chef who could use a lesson in how to pleasant to guests. But as they say there is always one.

I believe this hotel is making improvements and is heading in the right direction, just the cleaning of the communal areas needs improving. As I stated in previous paragraph, some of it is down to guests acting like animals.

All in all it was pleasant experience and a nice...

Hotel has potential to be good but at the moment it’s a 3 star at best and I would not recommend

-Pool area is good however not open til 10am which is fine if you don’t have children but what are you supposed to do with a child that’s been up since 8am? You do find people will que at the gate for a sunbed near 10am.

-Pool bar not open til 11am which is quite late in my opinion, soft drink machine isn’t turned on til then either so water only until then or you can get juice out of one machine in the restaurant. Always just one person behind the bar which just isn’t enough, the one person is always ran off their feet. The hotel is fairly clean but mess around the pool & bar area not cleaned up for long periods of time.

-Rooms are nice and decent size but paper thin walls / no soundproofing. We had to move due to a screaming child next door waking us up every day at 7am, we had enough by day 5. Our new room was much better but at a cost of poor aircon, non working fans (which we were told don’t work in this block (2) they are just for DECORATION) and a non working phone to contact reception (what if we had an emergency??) all of which was reported on more than 5 occasions. We asked for some bedding for the sofa bed but was told no one was available to bring any so we ended up dragging the mattress into the lounge area as the aircon was slightly cooler in there

-it can get very windy/chilly in the evenings so bring a jacket

-themed restaurant wasn’t open until we were a week into our holiday, it’s only open weds-Fri and you can go at 6:30 or 8:15. The food is much better than what you can get at the buffet, carbonara 10/10. It is still a buffet style and help yourself to drinks, no table service in either restaurant. Shame they can’t have same standard of food in the other restaurant

-the entertainment team are lovely & friendly, Hakim in particular

-the entertainment itself isn’t amazing but the main issue is there being not enough seating for the amount of guests

-hotel is mainly Spanish & German guests

-food is poor, not much choice, same stuff repeated lunch & dinner just in a slightly different variation if they could be bothered. The pasta is usually dreadful, overcooked & bland. They do have some nice hash browns at breakfast and good pizza at the snack bar. Self serve your own drinks in the restaurant, no wine glasses or pint glasses though

-€8-€10 taxi into town, there is a shuttle that goes to the beach at 10am and returns at 5pm (apparently), we got the shuttle in but weren’t told where to get it back. No shops near the hotel so get snacks in town, there is a small fridge in the room.

-there is a WhatsApp number for the hotel but don’t bother with that as you don’t get a response.

We raised several complaints over the course of our 10 days and none of it was rectified, the staff don’t seem to care at all. Overall once improvements have been made this hotel could be a 4 star but at the moment it’s just about a 3. We paid a lot of money for this holiday and it’s unfortunately just not up...
