Nice location with surprising entry from main road side.. all wooden cottages are great and equipped with all required facilities matching to nature lovers.. swim pool is nice and well maintaining. Food is nice but very limited selection. In room tea coffee facilities available and if need can request extra without a hassle and water bottles also provided .Cleanliness in the cottages are overall good and well maintained. Bedding experience can be enhanced by avoid using single bed combinations for arrangements of double side beds.Overall facilities are 4/5 rating. Who ever loves to have a village farming side walk along the jungle road can enjoy that and visit local vegetable farms in 5 min walk outside the jungle area behind the resort. Location was peaceful and even anyone have partying its enough distance to enjoy ur peace in mind. There is one tree house and that’s the special place to stay on whole resort if you are lucky enough to book that it’s unique experience. Regarding staff , Mr.Kashif manager of the hotel is very professional, friendly and helpful he offered a great customer service and seems like hotel runs with his hard work and dedication and customer care.
Kitchen supervisor is a Very negative person and always trying to bring negative feeling in every conversation and he really is a negative personal in hotel team who can effect the business as well as the rating of the overall customer experience which should be actioned immediately.. Chef was new to hotel but he had done a great job to fulfill tastebuds as his level best and other crew also soo helpful and caring.
Can arrange barbecue onsite on request with additional charges
Regarding food options ,
Must add fresh juice selection which is available anytime by request and meals service must be reorganized as well with more options where customers can select hassle free and free of mind for the price paying.desserts also must add in a manner where everyone likes and must have a selection not the one...
Read moreWe were drawn to book the treehouse here by the impression created of a well-run eco-resort close to nature. We could not have got it more wrong. The accommodation is basic and we were prepared for that, stray dogs and everything, but the manager had no clue that we had booked the treehouse, which then turned out to have a broken lock that we were unable to operate. We were offered an alternative, which was damp and dimly lit, in which the shower didn't work properly and ants and cockroaches were all over the place.||||Unwashed dishes littered the kitchen and glasses were left in tables for hours at a time, even though staff were on duty. We were told that water from the cooler was fit to drink, only to see it being refilled from the tap. There were no mattresses on the sunbeds, which in turn sat beside an unloved and dirty pool, with loose and lifting planks around the side of it.||||The car organised by the hotel charged us twice what we discovered to be the market rate and then refused to give us a refund - manager pointed at driver, driver pointed at manager.....picture the scene.||||We had booked through Bookings.com and asked for a reduction (they are charging $80/night when a nicer place very close by turned out to be charging $30/night for something nicer). We were offered a paltry refund by the owner and decided to check out after 2 nights instead of 4. The manager repeatedly failed to arrange a booking amendment with the owner despite repeated assurances that he would (his behaviour was consistent in this regard: plenty of good words and zero action). In the end we paid full rate for two days and later discovered that the owner had registered us as a 'no show' presumably so he will be able to charge us full rate. Good luck with that my friend.||||Needless to say we will not return. The owner/manager combination are doing a real disservice to a wonderful part of Sri Lanka, full of very lovely and welcoming people. They do not deserve to stay...
Read moreThe accommodation was renovated for several years and has recently reopened. The resort is in an outstanding location with supermarkets and scooter rental within walking distance. The accommodation offers fantastic tree houses and has a huge area that borders directly on the jungle. From the balcony we saw peacocks, lots of monkeys and once even an elephant walking through the resort. 🐘🐒🦚 The accommodation also has a large pool, which is cleaned daily and is ideal for relaxing after the day trips. However, the best thing about the accommodation is the host and his colleagues. I have never experienced such accommodating and friendly staff. We had many long conversations with the host where we got a lot of tips and learned a lot about Sigirya. On the last evening, we were even invited to a traditional cooking lesson followed by dinner. We liked the accommodation so much that we even extended our stay for 2 more days. All in all, the accommodation was outstanding. We would come here again and again and will never forget our stay and all thengreat moments WE Had experienced. Thank you to the entire resort for your...
