Green House — Hotel in Sri Lanka

I am quite convinced that the people who put 1-2 stars had a different host than the one I did. My group of 4 went in the off season of Adams Peak and it was pouring and dark when we arrived at 6pm, and we had the warmest welcome from a friendly guy named Shri who had tea prepared for to warm us up. The Dalmatian Heine also came to greet us. We originally booked one family room that would have had a public bathroom, but he asked if we would like 2 rooms instead with private bathrooms each, for no extra cost. He said another room opened up and it would be more comfortable and spacious. We were served a delicious dinner which was only 500 rupees per person and it filled us up nicely. Shri gave us tips for the climb and encouraged us. We went off in the early morning to make the hime, and when we came back there was a breakfast waiting for us. Green House has been hosting travellers for over three decades the place has evidence of wear and tear with lots of character. The new owner is very inviting, friendly and helpful for all the passing travellers as is his adorable Dalmatian who just wants some attention from you too. Your stay is tailored to climbing the peak for sunrise with early dinner and breakfast on return with seconds and thirds of roti if wanted. Located next to the Sivanozhipatha malai Nallathani(Hatton) entrance. Very friendly host. He give some tips and ways to climb the Sivanozhipatha malai. Not only the host but also the dog 🐕 also much friendly with the guest. Love the place. clean room and bathroom. Hot shower 🚿 also available. Working good. But need to cover the window with glass.
