Green Lagoona — Hotel in Sri Lanka

We stumbled across this place when looking for budget accommodation close to ridiyagama park. For three adults and one child, we got an air-conditioned (triple?) room on the third floor. There was no lift, which was problematic. |The room itself was clean and spacious with one queen-sized bed and two single beds. There were some mosquitoes despite the AC. The bathroom had hot water, which was pleasant. The TV had, curiously, only two local TV channels available. Bed linen was not at its best condition.|We ordered tea, followed by dinner and breakfast, all served into the room. Dinner was good with sizeable portions. Fresh fruit platter (not in the a la carte menu) was unexpectedly large and well worth the price. Breakfast was chaotic and not a good experience - it was 30min late, then we had to reorder as some food items were said to be not available, and again reorder as one item that we received was stale. |The reception was not always attended and the place seemed short-staffed anyway. This hotel was recommended by one of my friends, who is working in Hambanthita. we reached there around 3'o clock. The Manager welcomed us in a very friendly manner. Health measures have been followed in an acceptable way. we received a room on the 3rd floor. The scenery was fantastic where you can see the sunset and paddy in some distance. Do not forget to go to that paddy. There was a beautiful tree near to paddy where people came and enjoy bathing there and gatherings. We missed that opportunity since we were busy with collecting some items. (You know what I mean). It's not far from some beautiful sceneries from the hotel, natural as well as man-made places. Great Location & Friendly Staff – A Few Tweaks Could Make It Even Better!

We had a pleasant stay at this hotel! The staff was genuinely warm and welcoming, always ready to assist with a smile. The location was another big plus – super convenient and made exploring the area easy.

While our stay was comfortable, a few small improvements could take it to the next level. With a bit more attention to detail in certain areas, this place has the potential to be truly exceptional.

Overall, it was a good experience, and with some refinements, it could become a fantastic choice for travelers. Would love to see how it evolves...
