I haven't seen anyone mention it yet but the most important thing about this place is that there is zero natural light coming into the rooms. I thought from the photos that there would be at least some but the windows are so small and made from that crystal kind of glass so the room is fully dark even in daytime. If you're comfortable with that then it's a nice value place right next to the golden temple. Sarath was nice and responsive, flexible about my late arrival time, and drove me to the bus stand in his tuk tuk when I was leaving at a price marginally cheaper than Pickme offers. I heard from other guests he also does tours and they appreciated him greatly as a guide.
However - no towel or even a mini soap were in the room upon arrival, and I can't understand a hospitality venue that doesn't provide these absolute basics. Food was whatever - hoppers, an egg, bananas, and tea - standard for a free breakfast.
