Leen Tangalle — Hotel in Sri Lanka

Perfect location for heading out in all directions, whether by foot / TukTuk / rented scooter and we did them all. We had a great stay at Onilreach. Highly recommend. Family run and these people will do anything to make your stay an incredible experience.||||Only a year old, so all rooms are very nicely renovated - clean white washed rooms, with big comfy bed, white tiled floors and white walls. Very appealing.||||Spotlessly clean. Do not take food into your rooms, this is a given travelling in this part of the world though. You should get an A/C room, it is a small additional charge and well worth it as it is very hot in Tangalle during peak hours of the day. All rooms have a new ceiling fan as well. Fan plus A/C equals guaranteed peaceful/comfortable sleep.||||Owner arranged us a scooter for one day as well since we didn't want to pay inflated price and he was more than helpful in avoiding that. ||||Would stay here...

When we got there the hotel wasn’t opened. Or it was but had no customer. Since we didn’t have any booking they didn’t know we were coming. But the people around the hotel helped us and called the owner and got us in to see the rooms. The rooms were very nice with a good mosquito net (even if we didn’t need it) and the AC worked fine even if it was old. There was no warm water and the wifi was really bad, but it works after midnight until 8 am. We can’t really judge the staff since we were there all alone for that evening and night. In the morning two women was there to clean and they were very friendly, happy and nice. There was no breakfast at the hotel but it is a cozy and nice place across the street called “Blue Moon” that was amazing. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to stay in this area. The location is perfect being only a short walk from the beach, restaurants, shops and more! ||Rooms are new, clean and well kitted out with a fan and A/C which is a necessity for relief from the heat and humidity. ||Breakfast was delicious and generous with eggs, toast, tea or coffee and a range of fresh fruit! ||This is a family run business and they are so friendly and helpful!
