Lilly Palace Villa Guest House — Hotel in Sri Lanka

First of all this GH seems to be in Negombo and not Colombo, as it is 2 kms from Negombo center and over 25 kms from Colombo center. I arrived from Nuwara Eliya and was greeted by the deaf couple who run it and they turned out to be terrific hosts. Their 13 year old son spoke excellent English and was very helpful. The fish market, temples and other attractions are within 45 minutes walking distance. The bedroom was clean and well furnished and it was pleasant to sit on the breezy balcony at night. I had to see a doctor and the owner was kind enough to take me to the hospital on his motorbike and make arrangements to see his relative who was an excellent doctor there and gave me medicine to cure my ailment. The accommodation included breakfast but i was a little disappointed as it consisted of fruit, toast and jam. I am not a jam fan and could have been more satisfied with two eggs (which were provided at the other 4 GH's i stayed ta in the country). Twice i ordered dinner there and despite saying i enjoyed spicy food the meals lacked taste so on two occasions i went to a nearby restaurant where the portions and taste were much better. It was an ideal location for us as it is located only a few minutes away from Airport, Negombo City, Negombo Beach and walking distance to Negombo Lagoon. The room was great, comfy bed, Neat and tidy. Very Clean place.

Apart from Breakfast, we ordered Lunch and dinner which available for a very reasonable price. Wooooooooow foods are incredibly delicious, mouth watering. This host can prepare Local and other cuisines on request. Details can be found in the place. Home made food during our stay. Great...!

I can't express how blessed we were to end up on this guest house. After an exhaustive hours inside a train and any previously book in Negombo some how this alley lighted up our walk. We walked true at 10pm knock the door and this shine smiles come to us as home. The last room available! How that could be?! I truly recommend Lilly Guest house. A fantastic family who make everything possible for you feel home. The conditions of the bedroom and bathroom was very good, clean and tidy. Te breakfast is yummy.
