Minneriya Lake View — Hotel in Sri Lanka

Nice guy that runs the place, willing to help with transport and advice about the area.

However it is not worth 3500 anight. Bathroom was not clean, stains on the wall, ants and bed stunk. No clean bed sheets. Must bring his pricing down to reflect this.

It has great potentional just needs to sort the cleanliness.

On a sad note there is a dog (happy tho) that had a dreadful chain around it sometimes which rubs its neck, it has taken the skin off underneath and has blood on...

Stopped here for fresh drinks and a welcome sandwich on the road. Lovely garden, delicious lime juice, very friendly lady offering great service and a beautiful view on the lake. Can’t speak for the rooms’ quality (I admit they didn’t look top notch) but the place has a lovely feel and is a prime spot for casual birds and wildlife watching. It’s also a plant nursery with an incredible array of tropical plants to buy. Highly recommended as a pit stop on the road...

very nice spot, the host is extremely friendly and provides great service. The view is good, and you may even see elephants and other exotic animals close to the lake (which is very visible from the rooms).
