Nalanda Residence — Hotel in Sri Lanka

We (4 adults) spent 3 nights at Nalanda Villa in Diyathalawa with Visaka and her talented inhouse team. From the moment we arrived, we were treated with such care and attention - warm towels and the most delicious home grown passion fruit juice (the taste will stay with me forever). Every turn takes your breath away. Visaka has not overlooked a single detail - the rooms are beautifully appointed, the common area is comfortable, inviting and again .....the views are spectacular. The organic garden (from which many meals are sourced) is beautifully taken care of and tranquil. Looking out of the floor to ceiling windows provides endless beauty, that changes with every hour - even the night sky is spectacular through the windows. We weren't sure what we were in for as you have to make the effort to get here, and it isn't on the beaten path - but we were so glad to have made the trip. Visaka's team is very talented and can't do enough to make sure you are happy and well taken care of. The meals were abundant, beautiful and delicious. My husband and I spent 2 nights here in December. He was on a work trip and I was just tagging along. The accommodations are modern and clean and you can tell that much attention was paid to the details. We were only guests staying here at the time and the owner did a wonderful job of balancing being hospitable with giving us our space and privacy. ||The food was spectacular. Several meals I dined alone as my husband was working and they definitely did not water it down. Everything the prepared was fresh and made with skill. My wife and I undertook a drive from Colombo and got into this resort well within 5 hours.The place we landed in was a heaven on earth.||The team led by Ms.Visaka left no stone unturned to ensure that we were made extremely comfortable, satisfied with the food variety and happy with all the facilities in the resort.||Even to satisfy my desire to play a few sets of Tennis the host drove me over to nearby city and saw to it that I got a good game with a Tennis Pro!
