It has the biggest bathtub of them all hotels I stayed. In case of drought, they can be used as water storage. 5 people can soak together in the tub. The bathroom is huge, we can have 20 people in it. This was the garden access room we had. It had a separated living room with its own TV. In the bedroom, another. Out the garden, the golf course is situated opposite across a pond. A large monitor lizard rested well in our garden. There are 2 sunbathing chairs under the canvas canopy scared with cigarette burned holes from unruly guest who littered from the higher floors. Beyond a little gate in our garden, a walkway around the perimeter of the pond. The room we had is truly spacious, it is very suitable for families with children. Since we are no golfing family, the room was where we spent most of our time. TV channels was however a sad state. Nothing beyond channel 30 was subscribed. That put the cartoon channels we normally watch out of my child’s reach. Kids club was kind of small but still it was fun for the 4 or 5 kids, including my own, who were in there supervised by a friendly staff during breakfast. On the grassland one of those plastic playgrounds set stood. Up a flight of steps, the main pool, infinity styled that overlooks the putting greens. Unfortunately, the water was murky once stirred. The results of a layer of slipper scum my feet could feel. The resort had only recently been re-opened. Pool really needs some serious treatment. A small rectangular children’s pool seemed more appealing for my child to waddle in. But soon, once stirred, the same polluted effect. The evening hours were spent enjoying our club cocktail hours. A set of tapas was served. Fish fingers of frozen origins, Sushi and Moo Ping (BBQ pork satay) was the composite. The Moo Ping was certainly super awesomely tender juicy and nice. My kid enjoyed the fish fingers. No one enjoyed the sushi. 2 alcoholic drinks we were limited to per guest, we sipped and watched the team building activities that was happening on the grass patch in front of where we sat. The Indian melodic beats played loud among the cheers and laughter. It was awesome fun, it was like they had the whole resort to themselves. The golfers were out on the fairway. We saw them only during breakfast. The variety for the morning buffet spread was not extravagant, the taste and all was good and in order. The bacon was the best, they were served in small batches instantly snapped up by the guest. It was like how it is home cooked with delicate handling. The way it curled and stood like a rose petal, the fats bits well exposed to the heat and crispy. The leans were not hard till the point of beef jerky, an explosion of tenderness with that enticing fat oozing crunch. The joyride ended too soon. They never replenished the bacon after 9.30 am. We came just slightly before that, I sat till beyond 10 waiting for it that never came. To write so much about a simple piece of meat, I am telling you it was one of the best I had for a mass cooked buffet line. This hotel is a strange place for a staycation, it is away from the city and very near the airport. It is unquestionably a golfer’s resort. The price for a night’s stay is well below that you pay in the city, but there is really nothing else to do in the immediate vicinity unless you want to study what a beyond matured suburban upper class residential area looks like. The estates here are uncluttered, the air is good. The houses are huge and there are security sentries dotted all over. It is rather interesting for a foreigner to experience this. There are local eateries hidden here and there but they are all a drive away. The demographics of guests were 80% locals with the rest of a small mix of both western and eastern (Japanese). This was unlike the city hotels this season where is 99.9999% Thais because of all the hotel promotions that are going on.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Le Méridien Suvarnabhumi, Bangkok Golf Resort & Spa, and I must say, it was a delightful experience in more ways than one. While the resort's location is a bit far from the city, it offers a peaceful and idyllic setting, and its close proximity to the airport (only a 20-minute drive) makes it a convenient choice for travelers. The resort's main focus is on golf, and for golf enthusiasts, it truly is a paradise. The well-maintained golf course and excellent facilities ensure a memorable golfing experience. In addition to the golf amenities, the resort also features a small gym and an infinity pool. While the gym may not be the most extensive, it provides the essentials for a decent workout. The infinity pool offers a fantastic spot to cool off and enjoy the beautiful views of the resort. Now, let's talk about the highlight of my stay: the amazing breakfast buffet. Le Méridien Suvarnabhumi truly excels in its breakfast offerings. The variety and quality of the food are exceptional. Whether you're in the mood for local delicacies or international favorites, the buffet has something to satisfy every palate. The presentation of the dishes is visually appealing, and the flavors are simply delightful. The attentive and friendly staff further enhance the breakfast experience, ensuring that guests start their day on a high note. While the resort's location may be a drawback for those wishing to explore the city's attractions, it is an excellent choice for golf enthusiasts or individuals seeking a relaxing retreat. The combination of outstanding golf facilities, a serene environment, and the amazing breakfast buffet make Le Méridien Suvarnabhumi a standout destination. In summary, if you're looking for a peaceful and rejuvenating escape, Le Méridien Suvarnabhumi, Bangkok Golf Resort & Spa is a great choice. The resort's proximity to the airport, exceptional golf facilities, and the truly remarkable breakfast buffet contribute to an overall enjoyable experience. Just keep in mind that the resort is located a bit far from the city center, so it may not be the most suitable option for those wanting to explore Bangkok's urban attractions extensively.

Our first time here but hopefully not our last. It’s close to Suvarnabhuni airport and on a golf course so it’s green and quiet (for the city). It is within a suburban gated community: all roads in the immediate area, lined with big houses, have barriers and security. At least one bad review was left by someone complaining how far this is from Bangkok sightseeing but clearly they had not bothered to check location before booking - why blame the hotel for their carelessness?

At the hotel, there is valet parking and concierges, one of whom very kindly went out of his way for us. Check in was pleasant and quick enough. We splurged on a 1 bedroom suite (100sqm) with a spacious bedroom and separate living room (Illy espresso machine) as well as 2 balconies, both with comfortable seating and golf course views. There’s even a large alcove with iron and board for suitcases and clothes; it’s really a small dressing room that many would be thrilled to have in their own home.

The very large bathroom has a round tub, big and deep enough to be a hot tub and a separate large shower with rain head and hose head. 6 bottles of water are provided and replaced daily.

Everything was clean everywhere, service was good everywhere. Oddly, the lovely, large swimming pool can only be accessed through the Latest Recipes restaurant on the reception level, which is open from 6am to 6pm for the usual expensive hotel meals. Favola, the even more expensive Italian restaurant in the basement, takes over in the evenings. We tended to eat at somewhat less expensive (but still ++) and excellent two restaurants (Fountain and Palm) that are just across the street and part of the golf club building, open 6am to 10pm. The Fountain delivers to the Summit Windmill Residence (a nice aparthotel next door) but not to this hotel.

Small negatives that did not really reduce our overall approval: no turndown service in what is supposed to be a 5* hotel (but beds are changed daily). No room service menu although we did order pots of tea as there does not seem to be any way to make tea in the room. Despite the Illy coffee machine, there were no espresso cups, we had to use large mugs! The water pressure is somewhat inadequate for a rain head shower. Attached to the shower wall are pump dispensers for soap, shampoo and conditioner, rather than the high-end mini products expected in a 5* hotel. Oddly, there’s only 1 handbasin even though there is plenty of room for 2 in the large bathroom. Handbasin drainage was slow but, when we showed this to the smiley cleaner, she took a photo and immediately got it fixed.

24 hour checkin is available: it is possible to pre-arrange to checkin, for example, very early or late and to checkout at the same time 24 (or 48) hours later. This makes the hotel a convenient choice for very early/late flights. Many hotels claim to offer this service but few actually seem to be prepared to confirm their promise in writing when you try to book on this basis. We personally received confirmation of this at the checkin desk.

There is a free shuttle to the airport which must be booked 24 hours in advance and takes 20 minutes. There is also a complimentary shuttle to Mega Bangna shopping mall at 10am and 2pm; this has to be booked at least 1 hour ahead. The mall is about 20 minutes away (better to take a taxi back) where there is a SuperRich currrency exchange booth (they are known for good rates) on the first floor. It’s a big mall with food outlets and a Lotus supermarket (stocks some international products).

Overall, this hotel did not feel luxury enough to be 5, we’d say:...

I had the pleasure of staying at Le Méridien Suvarnabhumi, Bangkok Golf Resort & Spa, and overall, the experience was exceptional. The hotel truly stands out for its luxury and spacious accommodations.First, let's talk about the positives:The room was incredibly spacious, offering plenty of room to relax and unwind. The bathroom was equally large, and the design was modern and comfortable. One of the highlights for me was the balcony, which offered a fantastic view of the golf course. It was the perfect spot to enjoy a drink and watch the serene surroundings. The hotel in general is beautifully maintained, with lush landscaping and a clean, sophisticated atmosphere. In terms of service, I found the staff to be friendly and helpful. They were always ready to assist with anything I needed, and the check-in process was smooth. The hotel has a very peaceful and upscale vibe, making it ideal for a relaxing getaway. However, no hotel is perfect, and there are a few areas where I think improvements could be made:Minibar Prices: The minibar isn’t complimentary, and I didn’t realize this until check-out. I ended up having a small fruit drink that cost an eye-watering 125 baht. I wasn’t informed about the charges until I was about to leave, which was a little frustrating. It would have been helpful to know this upfront to avoid any surprises.Toilets: For a 5-star hotel at this price range, I was surprised to find that the toilets weren’t Japanese-style. Given the high standards of the hotel, I expected something more luxurious, especially considering many 5-star properties in Asia offer these types of amenities. It’s a small detail, but for me, it would have added to the overall experience.Dining Options: The hotel only offers two dining options: a buffet and an Italian restaurant. While both were decent, I felt there could be more variety in the dining experience. For such a high-end property, I expected a wider range of culinary choices to explore during my stay.Mosquitoes: One of the biggest negatives during my stay was the mosquitoes. They were everywhere, making it difficult to relax on the balcony, enjoy the outdoors, or eat outside in the terrace area. The hotel could take additional steps to control the mosquito population, especially in such an outdoor-focused property.Location: While the hotel appears to be close to the airport on the map, it’s actually about 25 minutes away. The hotel is situated in a very isolated location within a residential area, with no nearby shops, 7-Eleven stores, or pharmacies. The only way to leave the hotel is by using Grab or other transportation services, which is a bit inconvenient. The surrounding area is mostly large golf courses, so there’s not much to do nearby. For guests who prefer exploring the city, this could be a significant downside.Limited Accessibility: Due to its remote location, the hotel doesn’t offer easy access to Bangkok’s main attractions.
