Old Forra Diving Resort - Sunrise Beach - Koh Lipe — Hotel in Ko Lipe

We enjoyed nice dives with 2 professional dive masters. It was well ornagized, the equipment was in good condition and on the boat they offered lunch, fresh fruits, limited coffee and tea. So far it was a good day, with the service which is usual for diving tours in Thailand. BUT: Within our last dive, in a deept of approx. 15m, our dive master had no air and needed help from the group. She had panic in her eyes and shocked tbe whole group by showing no air sign. After the dive she figgured out that one of the dive center team members closed the valve of her air tank before she jumped into the water.

We do not know, was it a joke or a test by her colleagues. But making fun with safety and risking her life for nothing is definitely absolutely unprofessinal. Such a colleague should not continue working for a scuba dive center. The mood on the boat was killed...

We spent three nights with our two kids in the spacious family bamboo house. As we spent the time off season, it has been very quiet, just a few kittens and dogs around (like everywhere on the island). Given the previous reviews, our expectation was very low and after all remained positive: There is hot water for the shower, we got fresh and cosy towels every day, also toilet paper ;-), even cleaning was offered daily and drinking water was available. Surely matress and pillows weren’t a SPA treatment. The location close to Sunrise Beach (our favorite spot) is great, but yes it is not a scenic drive to get there. Just walk along the beach to go places like Walking Street etc and enjoy the view. Btw amazing breakfast is available at Lipe Beach Resort just in front. Check in and -out was super easy. A serene rattan wood hut with earthly ambient just beside the Pattaya Beach. The staffs are very welcoming and great you as friends. There is a bar right at the reception offering some Italian cuisine and alcohol. However, while the room and the lavatory are spacious, it doesn't necessarily translates satisfaction. The mattress is above average, easy to have some rowdy sex but only two pillows available with a very thin sarong as a blanket. I wasn't sure if I can request additional pillow or blanket coz I didn't ask. The water is quite colored, obviously no filter before consumption and a bit smelly but it is to be understood due to the natural resources are scarce. Mosquitoes are roaming freely so feel free to bring along insect repellent. The bed, however, is installed with a net. No a/c but the room temperature...
