Nyange Resort and Marina — Hotel in Entebbe City

It takes a lot to make me leave a negative review but here goes... Having been here in previous years when the service, grounds and food were excellent, we decided to return for a family meal. Big Mistake. The place looks very run down, grounds are unkempt, building have multiple cracks and paint peeling. The receptionist was the only redeeming feature as she was polite and friendly. Service however was awful to the point where we had to go and collect our own drinks and even pick up our food orders from the kitchen and bring them down to our tables. And finally, the price... Damn this place is expensive, I don't often complain about price but in this case, the service was very bad, menu choices limited, food quality poor, and the swimming pool was brown. We attempted to speak to management about our concerns, and were met with a somewhat arrogant "Well this is Nyange" response as if there isn't anywhere else that's better. I doubt we will return to this place and given it is quite a journey to get here, I would suggest you avoid the dissapointment too. Ps. If you still decide to try this place, Avoid ordering the spiced tea, it comes with an overpowering onion taste as they use the same knife to cut onions as to cut the ginger and although is undrinkable, will be...
