Review for Jumeirah Creekside Hotel – 3/5
We stayed at Jumeirah Creekside Hotel for four nights during our trip to Dubai, primarily because it was conveniently located close to the airport and we were attending the Coldplay concert. Here’s a detailed breakdown of my experience, and why I’d give it a 3/5.
The Good Stuff: Location: The hotel is just 10 minutes from the airport, which makes it a very practical choice for travelers. Getting a taxi or Uber is easy from here, and its proximity to key areas is definitely a plus. The Room: We booked a Premier Room, and it was very clean and well-maintained. One of my favorite features was the bathtub location—you could watch TV while soaking in a hot bath, which was a relaxing touch. The water pressure in both the bathtub and the shower was perfect—honestly, one of the best showers I’ve had in a hotel. It felt heavenly after a long day out. Cleanliness: The room was clean and comfortable, which made our stay a bit more pleasant despite the issues we faced.
The Not-So-Good (And Honestly, Quite Bad): Check-In Experience: The check-in process was extremely slow. We were checked in by an intern who seemed clueless, and it took 45 minutes to get our room keys. What made this worse was that there’s no internet at the reception area, which meant the systems were slow, and the staff seemed frustrated and inefficient. Hospitality & Service: This was the biggest letdown.
• The concierge and front desk staff were borderline rude. One of them even raised his voice at me when I tried to clarify something. That’s unacceptable behavior in a hotel of this standard. • The housekeeping service was terrible. We stayed for four nights, and twice they forgot to replace towels and the bathrobe, even though I had clearly left everything out for a change. • On one occasion, we returned to the room to find it barely cleaned—there was sand on the floor, the towels were still strewn about, and the cups hadn’t been washed. Essentially, only the bed had been made. • When I called the front desk to report this, the response was dismissive and condescending. They even said, “We know you’ve already placed this complaint. What do you want us to do now?”
View from the Room: We were given a backside-facing room, which wasn’t exactly appealing. For the price we paid, I expected something better.
Final Verdict:
Overall, the room itself was nice, but the hospitality and service fell way below expectations. For a hotel charging AED 800 to 1,000 per night (₹15,000 to ₹20,000), I expected a seamless experience with exceptional service. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case.
There are better hotels in this price range that offer much better hospitality. I wouldn’t recommend staying here unless you’re purely looking for convenience and aren’t too particular...

I review this hotel based on the fact that it is a 5-star hotel & is part of a brand that stands for iconic luxury.
When it comes to luxury, the service experience is a crucial factor to either make or ruin your experience. Its key is all about how to properly communicate with the guest & giving him close attention — creating a special atmosphere that makes you sense luxury and clearly differentiates from ordinary.
And at Jumeirah Creekside, my expectations were not met from the very beginning: When we arrived by car, the welcome felt rather “meh”. No one was bothered to take my bag nor felt the communication of high quality or authenticity. The way to the room as well as the introduction of the room was also presented in a quite underwhelming way. We had booked the Club Room — the hotel was informed that our stay was part of our honeymoon but there were literally no special efforts sensible… You would expect rose leaves, a personal letter or anything else of creativity. There was a bathtub in the room but zero amenities to make use of it. But at least there was my name displayed on the TV I guess lol. And what is the point of setting the room on DND, when someone knocks on your door? There was also an incident where I asked the receptionist for assistance and was left embarrassed as I thought to follow him but he simply walked away.
This was by no means a 5-star experience. There was no personalised experience overall. You just feel like no one really cares about you and is busy with something else - it doesn’t really matter even if you have booked one of the most expensive options. It also makes me hesitate to give another Jumeirah hotels a try now. I have experienced much better for much less even when it wasn’t 5-star. I even had much better experiences at Airbnbs!
When you leave a feedback through their rating system on their website after your stay, they get back to you and apologise and all but they don’t even lift a finger to support their claims with any form of compensation which excludes to give them another try in the future. And their copy pasted replies on here also speaks for itself…
However there were also positive aspects that might justify the positive reviews: The best part about this hotel was the 24h check-in option which is very convenient when you arrive outside of the standard hours. Furthermore the breakfast was excellent with a various of (healthy) choices. The Club Lounge buffet was also pleasant & memorable. The fragrance of the hotel also had some unique vibes that I still remember. And cleanliness was also no issue to talk about.
Unfortunately lots of...

Pros: Reasonably priced Nice rooms (we were moved to room 434 after we complained about the curtain that wasn’t closing properly/broken and the charger that doesn’t work). Some staff were very friendly. Pool staff very helpful and friendly. Pool service was very good with snacks like watermelon sticks and ice lollies served regularly. Nice size pools and jacuzzi. Good facilities but probably need a bit of refurbishment. Very nice birthday cake sent to the room-it was absolutely delicious but we couldn’t enjoy it at leisure because we had to move rooms and didn’t wanna carry it with us.
Cons: Curtain and charger not working. Bathrooms a bit dated and brown-needs a good clean. Unfortunately, just during breakfast, my little boy wanted to use the toilet and my husband took him to the closest one. As this is Dubai and we have always experienced a high standard of cleanliness in other hotels, he proceeded to the toilet and as he got hold of the shower bidet to wash him, to his surprise their was poop on the shower bidet. He let go of it and threw up there and then. It was extremely unpleasant for him and for my little boy to witness that. He vomited all the food just had and was obviously put off having any more food. We didn’t use the rest of the facilities and we are now going to make our way home. The only thing is my little boy is enjoying the bath tub in the room so we are letting him stay in there a bit longer but overall, this staycation was a disappointment. It has been a let down because we did the trust the brand before booking. We definitely won’t be celebrating a birthday here again. As per my opinion, this hotel’s focus is on the facilities such as daycations, use of paddle courts and pools etc.. it is definitely not for family stays. I wish the cleaning team could clean up the whole toilets and at least wash the shower bidets as well. It will be lesson learnt and I have already ordered portable shower bidets and a portable potty for my little one- a let...
