Paid £99 , absolutely awful place. The young lady on reception has to ring all customers two or three days prior to arrival and let them know no food available!…Premier Inn please mention important things like this clearly during booking because I would have gone elsewhere. On HS2 route so no investment in a ramshackle old and tired place. The bathroom mirror was peeled off on the bottom two inches and the room heater was absolutely covered in rust with couch badly stained.I stayed in another Premier Inn the night after in a Premier Plus room for £7 more and it was very nice indeed. If THEY PAID ME to stay in the Lichfield location I would refuse because it’s a dump. I have stayed in Premier Inns all over the U.K. for many years and 95% no problem at all, next week I’m staying four nights in Edinburgh and Glasgow in places I stay regularly and happy to stand by the company but Lichfield is a disgrace. The company even give out printed sheets with a list of places to eat…very cunning as if the information was given clearly at first many would chose not to complete the booking.

Relatively small Premier Inn. Rooms are clean but very dated, you even get given a key for your room instead of a card which is a rarity these days. Staff were nice and welcoming. The hotel Seems to be stuck in the late 90s early 2000s. Bathroom was small and in need a revamp plus the TV in the room was tiny compared to 2025 standards. Not enough plug sockets, non near the headrest of the bed or that side of the room. No restaurant attached so you can't get the usual cooked breakfast, but they offer cereal and porridge etc at the reception. The pub next door (The Fradley Arms Bar and Grill) serves an Indian menu and apparently do offer a breakfast in the mornings but this isn't associated with the Premier Inn.

Absolutely the worst Premier Inn I've ever stayed in, it only gets two stars instead of one because they staff were lovely and the bedding was clean. It has the feel of a building about to be demolished, the fire system doesn't work well, there is a car sized pot hole on the driveway, the restaurant next door is boarded up (and as a result there is no food or drink service), the floors and furniture are heavily stained, the rooms aren't particularly noise proofed, etc.

Over many years Premier Inns (PI's) have been our favourite hotel chain. Their beds & bedding are famed for high quality and a great nights sleep. I had read numerous (comparatively recent) reviews and had formed the view that though this hotel suited my need for closeness to the NMA (under 3 miles away) it might not be up to PI's normal high standards. ||||I expected it to be a bit 'tired /run down' and was delighted to find it was peaceful and welcoming, clean, cared for, super helpful receptionist, great (Asian) restaurant adjoining, excellent parking to 3 sides of hotel. Negligible overnight road noise from the A38. Double glazed windows, which could be safely opened for fresh air was a lovely bonus - tho' a freestanding electric fan was provided too. The TV was small but perfectly adequate. The shower was excellent.||||I brought my own breakfast - as the Fayre & Square (Whitbread franchise) closed some years back. The adjoining Fradley Arms has a great menu, an attractive outdoor eating area to the front and will soon be opening earlier to provide breakfasts. The PI Reception counter offered a good selection of light breakfast items (porridge pots, etc) - complementary, but guests could donate to the charity box.||||In summary, I can highly recommend this hotel and will happily choose to...

This is obviously not a five star hotel, but it suited our needs very well. Good sized room.. Clean and tidy. Well equipped. Very friendly and helpful at reception. Easy booking in. 12.00 check out time great.||As guests we were given 20% discount at the Fradley Arms next door for breakfast, which was great, but saw nothing during booking process or at reception to indicate that would be the case. Did not realise in advance that the Fradley Arms only does breakfast Friday, Saturday and Sunday - luckily we were there on a Saturday. Good to see porridge and cereal being offered at the hotel reception; not sure that was advertised in advance. ||Ours was just a one night stay, so we could attend a wedding reception at Alrewas Hayes. The hotel is only about 2 miles away and so is very convenient and other wedding quests stayed too. Found the AA route planner not too helpful for getting to/from Alrewas Hayes (AH). Going to AH from the hotel was straight forward, but coming back it said you have to go on the A38, which is NOT the case. You can come back just doing the reverse of going, which is shorter and avoids major roads (which was an issue for us because my wife did not want to drive on the...
