Hey guys, I hope you get this before you book here. Please stay away from this place, unless you are looking for a cheap, dirty place to stay at.
My family and I had a late night coming into town, so we didn't know how bad this place was due to not having any internet on our phones to check reviews. Kids were screaming due to being overtired, wife was very moody and we decided to just come in and stay since they had lots of rooms available. Okay, we came in got situated and etc.
Kids were getting a bath and we were getting ready for bed. As I started putting away their milk in the fridge, I smelled something very bad. My wife noticed mold inside the fridge, so I called the front desk to tell them and they said, well "I didn't charge you for it, so don't use it". Umm, it's mold! I took out the fridge and put it down the hall. I began to walk the halls and noticed how dirty things were (as I started becoming more awake and not so groggy). I said, well.."it'll just be okay for sleeping". I was very wrong.
Going to take a shower I noticed how they don't really clean anything. No ice in the ice machine, not to mention I haven't seen those type of ice machines in 20 years or so. Bugs trapped inside the light housing in the bathroom(they were dead), carpets dusty, sparks in the dark from moving the blankets (due to no fabric softener..or maybe not washing since they didn't smell fresh). Blow dryer doesn't work that's mounted on the wall and falling off and etc. Also in the middle of the night my kids woke up coughing a lot so I turned off the a/c and checked it. Well, it was very filthy inside and all you saw was dirt. It seems like when they cleaned the area, they just wipe down the top but don't try and actually clean where the air directly comes out of unit.
Seems like whoever owns this place thinks it's very clean. Exposure to mold is not safe. Graffiti drawn in some areas, body parts drawn on some walls, and the list goes on.
Well, just save yourself a headache, and possibly your health and not stay here. If I knew this area I would have just stayed somewhere else...and I am calling my cell phone carrier to put on the internet package on so I won't have such a terrible...
Read moreBooked a stay for two nights, paid a decent price and only 20 dollars for our dog. The last night we were there my fiance went out for a smoke and I went with. When we came back a worker (Sonya) stopped us at the door and asked us what we were doing, what our room number was, etc as if we weren't supposed to be there. After the worker let us in, we got a charge not even 10 minutes later to our card. When we asked what the charge was for, she says for our dog. We had already paid for the dog and it was 20 dollars, we showed her a transaction that was for 50 dollars. She then said it was for a deposit on the room because she 'knows us'. (Not sure what she was implying but one can only assume something negative). Also keep in mind we asked about a deposit when we asked about dog deposit at check in. We were told there wasn't one, and we were not charged one. Not sure why Sonya decided to charge our card at midnight, with no notification at that. She continued to be argumentative so we decided to simply file a complaint with the corporate office. Situation was uncomfortable and felt like we were being targeted. As Wyndham members we stay in hotels often but I would recommend any other location...
Read moreThis is the worst place we have ever stayed. No holder for suitcases, water pipes scream, Air conditioner rattles, tv has to be turned on manually and programmed every time it is turned on, no clock, no night stand on right side of bed and no light for that side, refrigerator quit,a light plug arcing when you plug light in, one plug popped and sparks flew. When refrigerator quit, we were told no more available. When we booked we had told Super 8 that my husband had medicine that had to be refrigerated....we were assured that a refrigerator would be available and in the room, when the problem was reported to night manager, he told us he had no authority to do anything. Bed was old and broken down, carpet needed cleaning. When we booked for 5 days to enjoy our vacation, little did we know what a terrible place it was. Of course, we could not leave to another place as all Motels were full due to Albuquerque Balloon Festival. We have stayed in other Super 8 Motels that were very nice and all ammenities were available and working. We would never recommend this place in Albuquerque on Coors Blvd. to anyone. Anyone looking for a decent place to stay....all I can say...
