The Riverview Motel — Hotel in Alton

Stayed here on a business trip for a new contract in the area. Upon my arrival after a 3p-11p shift . the building is run down, parking lot was dark, the tenants next to my room were arguing, I had to leave my car lights on until I opened the door, the smell was musty w/ a strong odor, no light bulb in the lr lamp, no light in the bedroom at all, loveseat was old & dirty. The tenants next door argued, slammed doors/walls, paced until 3:15 am. ||The next day, I noticed there were many tenants who reside there (not just the ones next to me) the office looked like a tornado went through it, the river view is actually a swamp view. The arguing, yelling, doors/walls being slammed continued throughout the day. It was horrible. ||I was booked for 3 nights but left after the first night. They should not be allowed to rent to...

Stayed here for a few days, no room service when asked if anyone did it the lady handed me sheets, never had a warm or hot shower always cold. The lady thinks you safe money by turning the hot water heater off. The beds are broken, the rooms smell. My last night here a woman showed up yelling and screaming to beat the snot out of some one. Lights outside the rooms are off, parking lot dark. My girlfriend and I felt uncomfortable going outside at night,and let's not forget the jerkoff that likes to look into peoples rooms when he walks by and he carries a gun like he is security, and makes inappropriate comets infront of woman and has to be in everyones business. This place is horrible the beds are old broken and smelly. There is NO hot water when I asked if there is hot water a tenant said she shuts it off.. there is a guy that carries a gun in his back pocket. I would never ever stay here again it's a shame because it's a great location. The smell is so bad I was booked for 1 week but left after just one night.
