The rooms are nice enough on the inside seem like they may have recently been renovated somewhat,. This is a motel type economy set up. It’s in a weird location - getting to it is confusing and it’s kind of sketchy at night because it’s so remote. There’s like a stairway to ? nowhere /a forested area, there was nobody staying there except some construction crew, one of the nights. The staff was helpful - I saw the check-in clerk two times in three days and housekeeping one day and nobody else. It had a very weird vibe. Maybe it was me just not knowing the area - I’m not really sure, but it was just a different feeling. This was not a commercial hotel by any means. Away from everything by only a few minutes and way too quiet. I think there was a “business” space but no WiFi, no breakfast - one vending machine for Coke. There was clean grounds, but it seemed like the area and anything that might have been a pool or scenic sun-bathing or maybe what used to be a restaurant was just abandoned..

How do you let anyone book rooms that are like this... We thought we were safe using our points with a choice hotels chain, and we ended up staying in this mess. Bed sheets were stained, and don't know if they've been changed, bathroom shower curtain was dark yellow and mould on the bottom probably also never been changed or washed. I was scared to even brush my teeth here. Room had a connecting door to another room and we could hear the neighbours tv on blast right through it, not good when you want to actually sleep for the night. Had to sleep on top of the blankets under our coats because we needed a place for the night and there was no room to switch to. We woke up in the morning to the thermostat not working as well. Breakfast was not available (not that I would want it after our experience) which we can usually count on at choice hotel chains, there was a printed note slapped on the juice dispenser. Disgusting, but this place was honestly terrifying to stay at.

2 stars, not 1, because the staff was nice, and it was not an expensive stay. The good - 1) Views from window. 2) Temperature and pressure of the shower. The bad - 1) We were checked in to a room, which when we opened the door of had an unmade med, a wet towel on the bed. 2) We were given an alternate room which was not a similar room to the one we had booked. 3) There were two (at least) flies in the room. 4) The shower curtains were filthy (these are not very expensive to replace, so no excuse). At the price point, absolutely no luxury is to be expected, but cleanliness is mandatory. Felt short changed. The staff were nice, but the service was disappointing leading to a very poor overall experience. Would never come back or recommend. (Pics are of the first room as we found it when we checked in)

I wish there was a ZERO star rating! Just giving this place a one star is making me cringe! I have no idea how people have given positive reviews here! Our room was horrible! Smelled so bad! Still, if you are paying $69/night you can make your peace with that smell. Its the bathroom that made me actually throw up!!! It smelled like a dump! And i am not exaggerating! The smell of urine would not go away even after house keeping came by and cleaned it up! I think they mop the floor with urine! I will not stay at this hotel even if the price went down to $15/night! We stayed there for 2 nights...and I dreaded going to the bathroom! The water from the sink is POISON! All my kids had a stomach bug after a sip of water from the sink. We ended up buying our own water. The continental breakfast was a JOKE! you can buy those things from walmart and set them up on the table in your room and have the same "continental breakfast!" They use the cheapest toilet paper -.seems like you are using one of those gift bag tissues! Actually those might still be better than what this place has. I could've without any complains - the price was undoubtedly good...you get what you paid for- but I have paid the same price and sometime even less than this for years at other hotels throught the US and have had better living conditions! Customer service is a nightmare here! Before booking I had asked the manager Dave if we could checkin early around 1. He said no, as people checkout late sometimes usually by 2-3 and it takes room service some time to clean up. So the earliest check in I can give you is 3 or 3:30 - fine...i understood. Then when I went to tell him I will be requesting late checkout he tells me that checkout is at 11 anything more than that he will charge us extra!!! I mean COMEEE ON! Very poiltely I reminded him of our conversation and also explained to him that any other decent hotel out there will not do that and would let us checkout late. To this he said "fine then checkout by 12 nothing more than this!" Amazing!! This place is not worth it! My other major issue is ofcourse the sanitary conditions of the room! The carpets, beds, bed sheets, pillows all have a dirty old smell to them - plus the CONSTANT urine smell in the bathroom will make you sick to your stomach! Pay more and stay somewhere else! If none of what I said matters to you and you still choose to stay at this crappy place then atleast do yourself a favor and buy water from outside along with a air freshner - not that it will help for more than 10 mins! Ohh and also at breakfast, the manager does not put out water! If you are thirsty - a non juice drinker - or choke on one of the store bought muffins - your options are to either drink the HOT water they have for tea/coffee - drink juice or buy water from the vending machine somewhere down the scary unlit hall! If you have kids, and are planning to book a hotel - trust me - saving those few extra bucks are not worth living through the horros of this place where I actually dreaded going to the bathroom to even brush my teeth! Wifi is free with no password but is so poor that it will not work - useless! Pool has been "under construction" for months if not years - heace unavailable to use! Parking -.thankfully is free and right in front of your room if you get the ones on the...

Unfortunately the service was very bad. We got caught in unexpected bad weather and had to drive slow. We arrived after midnight. I rang the service bell and a person came out 2 min later in night clothes, proceeding to lecture me about showing up after midnight. I think I woke him out of his sleep. He was clearly not happy about that, which is understandable but I was not told that I can’t check in after 12. This was not made clear or printed clearly anywhere in my booking details. If that is a rule or something I should have known, I should have been made aware of it ahead of time. I told him this and he bickered w me while looking for my check in details. After about 10 min we were finally assigned a room. The room was on the opposite side of the hotel far from any convenient parking and it was freezing rain outside and almost 1 am. The building was old and dirty. The room was unwelcoming and dirty - It didn’t appear to have been serviced at any recent time. There was hair on the sheets and the side chair had what looked like oil stains all over it. I didn’t feel comfortable sleeping in the bed esp not to have my kids sleep in the bed. But it was late and we didn’t have any other choice. I barely slept as I felt uncomfortable all night hoping nothing was crawling on me. The next day we checked out and the same employee was in the lobby. He was still unfriendly but not as much as the night before and he was in flip flops and shorts - confused about this bc of the weather but also it was very unprofessional. I understand that econo lodge is not a luxury hotel and “you get what you pay for” is a true statement most times. But in this case I got FAR LESS than I paid for. I’ve stayed at econo lodge in past and it was clean, decent and friendly staff. I would warn anybody to never stay at this place until they are able to clean it update it and get...

This place would have gotten 4 stars except for the guy who checked me in at night. Although they did provide a pet friendly room, he told me I could not bring my service dog WITH documentation from a recognized training organization, told me I was not allowed to bring my dog in the lobby. The argument got heated and he even said he "didn't care about the law" and "he could refuse me service. So for him...here..

"Service Dogs in Training: Under Pennsylvania law, individuals with disabilities who use guide or support animals, or trainers of such animals, are entitled to equal opportunity in all aspects of employment and education, as well as equal access to and treatment in all public accommodations, and any housing accommodation or commercial property without discrimination. Violation of this law may result in an award of damages or other remedies pursuant to the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act. 43 P.S. § 953."

. I drove 8 hours and decided it wasn't worth a fight since we needed rest. It looks like in its heyday, was a great place. It's still not a total dive, but could be really nice if revamped. The room wasn't as bad as reviews stated, although it was obviously a smoking room . The morning guy when I checked out.. was an absolute gentleman. Very nice man. I didn't mention the previous night incident. I would not give an overall bad review to a place because of one misinformed, insensitive...person. 5 stars for location only because it's an oasis on a long drive only of you need a quick overnight. They are renovating including the...
