It was such a blessing to find this hidden gem recently for our first stay in Canton. In 2023 we had a couple of very bad experiences with airbnb and also vrbo. I was nervous and scared a bit to stay here but Beverly and her husband were EXACTLY what we needed. Beverly was responsive, kind, informative and just real. It was refreshing to be treated like old friends and people who are good, trustworthy with half a brain. Our room was PERFECT and so cozy!! It was super clean, the bed and linens were so comfortable and the sunset from our porch was dreamy. We spent the day at First Mondays, enjoyed the sunset with coffee on our porch then walked down the mountain a bit to enjoy dinner (and several pieces of pie) at The Pie Lady Cafe. They too were amazing. It was like we were old friends and had stopped by and they invited us to join them for dinner. We ended the evening watching an amazing DVD of a movie I had never seen. The next morning we were the first to arrive to their complimentary Banana Split Breakfast Bar!! It was perfect and delicious and such a treat. We enjoyed our time visiting with Mr. Miller (Beverly's husband) and their pooch Annie Oakley!! A very pet friendly place that had no hint of pets...does that make sense? Anyway, 10/5 stars!! We will stay again and we will rave again, I have no doubt. My only thing bad I experienced was leaving with a bit of sadness....it felt like this type of customer service is from days long ago and no longer something you can expect/experince anymore. Leaving made me long for the way things were in my childhood... when your word was worth more than gold and a handshake was all...
Read moreThis is such a beautiful area and place! I have stayed twice here at Acorn Hideaways in two different suites. Both are clean, and lovely in thoughtful details both aesthetically and practical needs for a comfortable stay. It's really not fully realized in gps maps or general web searches. The western theme is not at all "kitschy" rather feels natural. Tucked away this little village of suites, that is found on the side of a pretty steep hill, covered by trees, along winding paths and nestled in well kept buildings, shown by kind people who greet you upon arrival and care about you and your stay. There's perfect amount of interaction with your hosts who have professionalism and respect for your stay. Communication is excellent. I've been both times during the "off calendar" for the First Monday Trade Days. Its peaceful and quiet here and really enjoyable to rest and relax without feeling the sterile like bleakness of a motel option. No this was like going to a relatives home to stay in the guest house for a couple of nights to recoup and leave refreshed. I felt so safe and I will not look elsewhere for a stay. Y'all are not going to be disappointed. Ever. Thanks Bev, Marie...
Read moreMy family and husbands family recently stayed at Acorn Hideaways for the second year in a row for our Canton shopping weekend. Let me just say, we love this place! The property is located on a hill and makes you feel like you in a small town of your own. Very rustic and down home feel. Winding roads with small shops and cafes that you can visit on foot from your room. The café has great breakfast and pies. My daughter made sure to visit 3 times to get her chocolate pie fix. :) Beverly is wonderful! Great communication before and during your stay. This last visit, we had a tornado scare in town and Beverly shared updates on the warning and seeking shelter through text. She went out of her way to make sure her guests were safe, even outside of the property. We can't wait to stay...
