So my fiancé and I decided on the Sleep number i8 bed with the adjustable base. We applied for the store credit card and we made the purchase. We were downgrading from a king size matress to a queen size sleep number bed. Today we were suppose to receive the bed but the base didn't fit in the elevator of my building. Taking the stairs wasn't an option for the delivery guys. That part I understand because the base is very heavy. Here is my issue, why didn't the sales man who sold me the bed mention that the base is one solid piece the measures 7ft high by 5ft wide? I would have easily said that it would not fit because I know the dimension of my elevator. Now we have a major problem. I took the day off of work to receive my delivery. I also downgraded from a king to a queen so I TOSSED OUT my old $1,000 king upholstered bed, now my matress is on the floor. I also applied for a credit card that I will never used. DEALING WITH SLEEP NUMBER HAS BEEN A TOTAL DISASTER. I will never do business again with Sleep Number. Customer service asked me, SO WOULD YOU LIKE TO CANCEL YOUR ORDER? REALLY!!! How about better training for your sales department, how about advertising the Sleep Number WONT deliver an adjustable base if they're stairs involved!!! I am extremely irate and I have lost time, money and took a hit on my credit score. To top off everything else, no one could help me, I spoke to 4 different reps! A nightmare of an experience....

Read moreFirst of all, these are amazing beds. They are especially great if the person that you sleep with likes a different mattress firmness. Most importantly, they are extremely comfortable.
The only drawback (as noted in Consumer Reports which also notes that these are top rated) is that they are slightly warm and retain heat. I sleep hot, but just keep the room slightly cooler and is fine.
Also, the store sales experience is extremely professional.
Lastly, I'm bothering to rate the store due to the great customer service. We had a mistake on our order from a year ago and didn't get shipped the SleepIQ (it actually tracks your heart rate and breathing to help monitor the quality of your sleep). Despite the 12 months gone by, they were perfectly happy to swap things out for us. They may charge a premium for their beds, but it is returned in quality...
