While going through the process of booking online/over the phone the man from the front desk was extremely nice and helpful. I was excited that they were pet friendly and was bringing our cat. However, when we arrived the hallways smelled animal urine that they tried to cover with some ammonia smell and failed. When we got to our room, I was getting the bed ready and noticed that every single pillow and pillow case was stained and/or had hair on them. So I drove to Wal-mart and bought new pillows and cases. Then before I went to bed I happened to look under the nightstands and saw a bunch of dust, dirt and garbage that looked like someone just swept under there and hoped no one would notice. The next morning I was trying to find some water to fill up my reusable water bottle and the only water fountain did not work, there was no water in the vending machine and nothing out in the breakfast area. I couldn't use the water from the sink because it was very cloudy and I had already used some to give my cat and saw a bunch of dirt that floated to the bottom. After showering I noticed that all of our towels had stains on them as well. My husband also went out to find some breakfast and couldn't find anyone working in the breakfast area or at the front desk. So he wandered around looking in rooms labeled "Employees only" until someone happened to run into him where he asked for a cup!
Overall I don't think we'll be returning. I liked that it was pet friendly for our service animal but if you're going to be a pet friendly hotel, you should take proper responsibility for being pet friendly, like properly cleaning your rooms and hallways. The biggest thing for me however is having clean linens. Above all, a hotel should have clean sheets and towels. I have lived in Africa for a good period of time and hands down stayed at cleaner places while being there. Never once did I worry about if my linens were clean while...
Read moreIt was just Ok. The exterior looks nice at first glance and then you see all the garbage througout the lot, mostly empty booze bottles and beer cans. Then you see neglected screens many of the windows. Our window leaked onto the window ledge during a storm. There was no microwave, the fridge was iced up and the fan was making a loud noise which was disruptive during sleep. The safe's battery was dead and therefore did not work. We flushed toilet once and that led to it running on and off every 5 minutes. ($5 Repair) It was loud & keeping us awake so we closed the door. The very nice lady who checked us in said I got a very good rate so I felt I should not complain. When using the shower the stopper was broken and the tub filled almost a foot while taking a shower which was sort of gross. Breakfast was decent however the fridge holding the milk and yogurt was barely cold and the digital thermostat was showing 54 making the contents dangerous to consume. Hallways seemed very warm and the units used to heat the rooms are the same. It was set at 86 degrees. They are losing money on simple repairs that could be put back into improving the place and getting better reviews. I am not discouraging people from staying there but I pointed out a couple issues to a young girl when checking out and she said okay in a manner where I felt she did not care. During idle times those behind the counter could be picking uo the lot as first impressions...
Read moreI just sent an email regarding my stay on July 14th. The hotel smells horrible. The towels were yellow (but were supposed to be white) and covered in stains. There was garbage in the garbage can. The floor mat was damp. The ragged blankets on the bed looked like they had been bought from a garage sale, and one had a cigarette burn in it. My son pulled back the comforter and blanket and found hair all over the sheet. We didn't even tough the remote or alarm clock because they were filthy - not sure what was all over them. The 'remodel' advertised as "all new rooms" could not have been further from the truth. The only things they had done was to paint, put down a small section of new floors and replace the sink and vanity. Tile grout smeared across the floor and painted door knobs do not help Wyndham's branding at all. One of the outer security doors had clearly been hit by something because it was shattered. We avoided that door because it looked like one bump and the glass would probably fall out. The girl behind the counter at check-out didn't even greet us. Terrible. I understand this being a budget hotel, but they should have some pride in...
